Last year when I was still doing the Beer of the Month Club, we received a sweet potato beer. Can't remember the name of the brewery, was something down south. Oh yeah, Lazy Magnolia, Jeff Stout: http://lazymagnolia.com/?post_type=brew No spice to it, just a bit different taste than a straight stout. Also not exactly a…

I've not made it through the whole thread yet to see if anyone else has suggested this, but you can replace some of the oil with extra pureed pumpkin. I often replace part of the oil and/or sugar in breads like this with extra pumpkin, banana, or applesauce. Never all, though, as the bread doesn't have the same texture. I…

Just started a bock today. :) We currently do partial grain recipes, though I'd like to get an all-grain set up eventually. But we haven't been all that active the past couple years, so I figure get a couple partial recipes under our belt, and if we don't get burnt out again, maybe we can start looking into switching to…

For living in a state with pretty crappy distribution.....I think I've had at least 15 of those off that list. When you get to the lists on Rate Beer and such, um, yeah. If I've had 5 in the top 50 I'm lucky. haha.

If you're truly inflexible, look for the Essential Yoga for Inflexible People DVD. It has some basic series that are around 15-20 minutes long, including ones using chairs for modification. If you were to go through the full series of moves, I believe it is 90 minutes long.

Hello all! I'm Caroline, from Montana, and I'm a craft beer addict. :) I got hooked on good beer by going to one of (at that time) two local breweries after work on Fridays. Well, my city now is home to six breweries (and two of them have two taprooms), and I enjoy going to all. I also travel the state, and occasionally…

I could give up anything else but beer. I love the look, the smell, the taste of a good beer. I have been pretty good lately, drinking mainly just on the weekends. Most Fridays I go out to the breweries with friends, which means I drink my 3 pint limit, and then if I go out to eat, I probably have at least one or…

I just discovered this group, I think I'll fit in perfectly! :) While my tastes change fairly frequently, I currently prefer things on the darker, maltier side. Browns, scottish, stouts, porters...and even better when I can get them on nitro! Oh man, a local brewery has had both a chocolate stout aged in bourbon, poured on…

Same here. I'll give up pretty much everything else, before I'll give up my tasty, calorie-ladden beer! If I have the choice between a lower calorie beer and no beer, I choose no beer. I've decided that I'm ok with not being as thin as perhaps I could be, if I gave up the beer, as it is something I truly enjoy.…
