Thanks to those who gave suggestions for my poor old knees! I can ride the stationary bike without pain, it's later that I can hardly walk. I guess it could be something much worse. I'll be thankful for what the Lord brings my way.

I feel bad to not keep up with the posts everyday...my youngest (last of 14) is still at home and we homeschool. So even with one at home, I still stay busy. I do go back though and find encouragement from all of your posts. The liquid diet has given me a good jump start (9 lbs. in 14 days), but now I need to amend it.…

Wow! I was shocked that it has been three years since I have been on MFP. I am now 61 and the weight isn't coming off very easily. :( A friend said I need to exercise twice as much the older I get. Well, easier said than done. I started a liquid diet this past Monday as a way to jump start my dieting. So far, so good. I…

:flowerforyou: Thank you Barbie, for keeping this thread going. Of all MFPs, you have been an inspiration to me. Your losing weight and keeping it off at 62 spurs me on to get mine off before I reach 60. My daughters and I are determined to make a difference this year. Aren't new years a good time to get back on track?! A…

:flowerforyou: My "Just do it!" resolve doesn't always get me off dead center. :ohwell: So, here I am, posting like I know I should and getting ready to go for a bike ride. Hope you each have a good weekend! :flowerforyou:

:flowerforyou: Good morning! It is always good to read each of your posts. I hope we spur each other on. I had to tell myself to "Just do it!" this morning to do my walking on the treadmill. I was really surprised how many calories I went over yesterday. That's why posting is soooo good. I look forward to getting back into…

:flowerforyou: Hi! I've been AWOL for too long. :ohwell: My new mantra is "Just do it!" When I don't want to get on the treadmill, I tell myself, "Just do it!" When I don't want to take time to track my food, I will tell myself, "Just do it!" I will lose weight if I just do what I should do throughout each day!…

:flowerforyou: My children and I have a weightloss challenge going. We are running it for 3 months. We keep each other motivated every day! I do want to be a good example to them and need to keep up my goals every day. Those goals are: 1000 calories/day, 10 min on the treadmill and stationary bike morning and evening,…

:flowerforyou: Wow, how can it be December already?! Anyhow, hope to get back and read all the posts from today. Trying to log my food everyday. It is always good to be aware of just how many calories I have consumed in a day. I think twice before I eat that way.:flowerforyou:

:flowerforyou: Just saying 'HI' and looking forward to being normal for awhile before Christmas week gets here. I have a grandbaby due Dec. 13th and will get to see her at Christmas! Drinking enough water is still a challenge for me. Have a great afternoon!! :flowerforyou:

:flowerforyou: I'm on the flounder trip again.:grumble: I know what I need to do and that is just get busy. A year ago when I lost pounds I posted everyday and exercised everyday, so I know that was a help in losing. Sometimes we just need to get with it and do the work. That's where I am...:ohwell:

:flowerforyou: Every time I quit posting and recording, I can't figure out why in the world I did it. When I get back on MFP it is always so refreshing and encouraging! It doesn't take long to slip back into old, comfortable habits and see the pounds slip back on. More than pounds at this point is poor muscle tone. I have…

I've got to get back with the program! Looking forward to reading each of your posts. I need all the encouragement I can get. :ohwell:

:flowerforyou: Well, I just got off the treadmill and went past 10 minutes! :drinker: My knee feels great and I am looking forward to increasing the time each day. It is encouraging to read all the posts. We are not in this alone, are we? Sometimes it's hard for my family to understand my struggles, but I know each of you…

:flowerforyou: Good morning! Today I am going to post every meal and walk on the treadmill for at least 10 minutes. That doesn't seem like alot, but sometimes my knee won't take any more. Two years ago my kids and I were racing on our bikes, I stood up to pedal harder and something popped in my knee. It has been a problem…

:flowerforyou: Just posted and read posts. Looking forward to some exercise this morning. Trying the keep the momentum moving forward.:flowerforyou:

:flowerforyou: What a wonderful thing resolve is....until it isn't anymore. I can be so determined, and then just fall apart. Not emotionally, but completely disregard all of my good intentions. I know when I posted just as soon as I ate a meal or exercised I stayed on top of things better. Today I'm going to post…

:flowerforyou: The weather has been lovely here in Nebraska! My children gave me plants for Mom's Day and we got them all set out today. I love to see the little pansy faces and all the different colors in my flowerbeds! I am glad for the tip on the liquid glucosamine and look forward to trying it!! Have a good…

:flowerforyou: Happy May Day! I was surprised this morning when I weighed to find I have lost 6 pounds since I got back with it. Must make it mind over matter and just do what I should every day. Hope each of you has a good weekend!:flowerforyou:

:flowerforyou: Hi to all my FP friends! After a week of not exercising (I was working at the PO most of the week, which is like several hours of exercise) it was good to get back to it this week. I ate some desserts that I wouldn't have ordinarily and they really were not that great  ! Yay!! I want to keep it that…

:flowerforyou: Thanks to those who gave weekend success tips. It helps to be able to run things by you all and try different things. We've all 'been there, done that' so many times, we ought to have some good ideas for each other. I've been woking at the P.O. this week (Postmater Relief) so haven't been on MFP since…

:flowerforyou: So, weekends are usually my downfall. Do any of you have any suggestions how to just stay steady on the weekends? I'm open...:ohwell:

:flowerforyou: Yipee!!! I've lost 3 pounds. Finally, some movement. Have a good day all!:drinker: :flowerforyou:

:flowerforyou: It seems like every time I don't eat correctly and exercise, the next time I get serious it is harder to lose! I usually set my calories at 1200, but I think I'm going to have to bump them down to 1000 in order to see some pounds come off. I walk 20 minutes on the treadmill each day, maybe I need to increase…

:flowerforyou: Hope you all had a good weekend! It is so refreshing to be able to get through the weekend and know I did what I should with my eating. That hasn't always been the case. It does feel good to know I can do what I should (SuzyQ, that was great that you could restrain yourself when others all around were eating…

:flowerforyou: Well, as Barbie always says, "just take one day at a time!" All week I've told myself that if I can make it one day doing my exercises and eating within my calories, I can do it again the next day. So far, so good! It is always so amazing to me when I get back on track how much better I feel right away and…

:flowerforyou: So far so good!!! It really is a day at a time. I did what I should yesterday and I know I am capable of doing the right thing again today. Didn't lose any this past week, but walking on the treadmill each day surely is building some muscle. I'll be patient. Having some connection issues with my computer,…

:flowerforyou: I have been looking back at several journals kept over the past several years. You know what the common theme is? I need to lose weight. It is sad to look back at years of attempts and failures. It can be quite disheartening, but God hasn't given up on me and His mercies are new every morning, so why should…

:flowerforyou: Wow! I've not posted for several days and how quickly the posts add up! I am trying (not very successfully) to do my treadmill walking everyday. I'm not doing very well with my water either. I need a kick in the seat, I think...:ohwell:

:flowerforyou: Welcome to newbies! Darlis, I will be praying for your husband and for you as you wait. Lynn, good to get acquainted with you through your profile. This is an encouraging place to be able to come every day! I have forgotten how to change my goals under my ticker. They are from last August, I…
