Just Do It. Even if you suck.

You'll probably burn some calories in PT, they make you work.

Sometimes you have to fight one battle at a time. From my experience it's important to get yourself mentally well as the 1st priority. While exercise can benefit mild depression, it is not the answer for deep depression. I hope you are sharing your experience with your doctor so as to get help with your depression. Feel…

Robyn here. I have been a member of MFP since about 2010. But I've only been active for the past almost 2 months. It's just time for me to get it together, so I started taking strength training classes at the gym, got a fitbit, and hired a trainer. I want to attack this problem 20lbs at a time. Age: 42 SW: 226 CW: 214…

In October, I will: - Eat vegetables at least once a day. Yes, I love fruit, but shy away from veggies. - Increase my daily water intake to 9 cup per day - figure out how to get 6000 steps now that the rainy season has started. I'm in Seattle y'all. 3 small steps, but baby steps work for me.

Are you wearing HRM? Maybe your HR is getting too high.

Thanks all. Helpful information. I guess it's not something to measure Daily, but maybe once a week?

Hi Guys, new to the group. My Dr & I have found a great combo for me. It keeps me stable & allows me to lose weight. The problem that I'm now having is that I feel so good that I don't want to take them. I have to have an argument with myself everyday to take them. Does anyone else go through this?

$150 per session is a lot. But, I think it depends on the trainer. I absolutely love mine. He not only helps me in our sessions, but we work together to come up with nutrition and exercise plans for each week which help me form healthy habits. He holds me accountable while encouraging me. Before putting money down on a…

Great work, great attitude!

Sometimes it's the meds that contribute to your increased appetite. It took a long while for me & my Dr to find the right combo for me. One that could bring my stability & allow me to lose weight. Keep talking to your Dr and hopefully you'll find what works best for you. If you want a pal, friend me.

Set small achievable goals that are easier to reach. Trying to eat the apple in one gulp typically leads to setbacks and frustration. Find a weekly goal and find success in meeting that each week.

What motivates me? I battle Bipolar Disorder & therefore depression is part of the package. I honestly thought that with my meds, I would continue to gain & gain & gain. Being at my highest weight ever (226 labs) added to my depression. I worked with my Dr to finally find a combination that ended the endless weight gain &…
