2 weeks rest (only walking, some light jogging) and after that I started a hybrid program (morning 3 days per week , insanity, 3 days weights, and evenings: 3 ways walk or stability ball and 3 days jogging)

As you, I´ve never been a runner, I am still obese and after I finished the Insanity workout I gained a lot of endurance and I decide to give jogging a try. for my suprise I was also able to run 3.5K without stopping (26min) and I could easily continue until the 5k mark, however, given the knee pain I am still suffering…

I was obese (and still are according to the BMI charts) when I started insanity. I completed the whole thing without missing a single workout, It required an almost military discipline but it was worth it. I did not lose a lot of weight (just around 7 lb) but measurements, looks and body recomposition was literally…

hI That heart rate seems low for your age and doing the Max Insanity Workouts. In my opinion, that means either you are super fit or there is some problem with your HRM (some calibration issue probably) I am 38 and I finished Insanity 3 days ago and during the 2nd month I was averaging about 140 hbmp and peaking around…

I finished insanity yesterday my weightloss was nothing spectacular, only 9lb, however measurements are a totally differente story. In short: I lost 4 inches of gut. 2 of waist. 3 of chest, Most of my family and friends have noticed and keep telling me "you lost a LOT of weight" and I say yeah right it was only 9lb. My…

I finished Insanity today!!!!! 63 days of commitment pain and hardcore workout. No excuses, never missed a single workout, put all my effort! I am so happy! :D

I forgot, they add a little rice while cooking chicken, google: caldo tlalpeño and you will see :D
-
Yummi!, your soup sound similar to what we call in Mexico "Caldo Tlalpeño" "i.e. Tlalpeño Soup" boiled Chicken breast (no skin) (with onion, garlic, oregano, 1 tomato etc), shred chicken once cooked using hands, return to broth and then serve as a soup adding tortilla strips, and more importantly a little tablespoon (or…

I am almost done with the Insanity workout, and I have tried different strategies, including eating my exercise calories back 50% of them 100% of them or none of them. My conclusion is: I have been losing weight much more consistently and having more energy and burning most calories during workout when I eat 100% (or…

My dear friends. If you like corn tortillas and If available where you live, try yo buy Nopal tortillas (only 20 cal each) while normal tortillas are 60 to 110 cal each one. Si if you cut tortillas in 6 parts and bake them (without oil) each totopo (as we call in mexico corn chips) would be about 3.33 calories (almost…

This website/ "social network" or perhaps more accurately "fitness social network" is fantastic! I even closed my facebook account, lots of non sense web stalkiing / gossip / etc etc, but here in MFP most people is friendly and we all have in common: health, fitness and support. I prefer this site much better :D

day 53 here. I am planning to start a 2nd round in about 3 weeks, who is in?
-
I closed my FB account 3 monhs ago due to privacy issues and also too much non sense crap and time wasting. FB is all about gossip, wasting time, etc I prefer MFP, because all of us have the same goal (be active, fit, los weith, health realted issues. MFP site saves lifes, FB just wastes time of your life. thats my very…

I am in my 7th week. It is very hard (I have not missed a single workout) and definitely there are lots of changes in your body shape and composition. during the 1st month I almost lost nothing, I was so depressed and irritated, but I kept going and forgot about the scale and during the 5th week and specially 6week I…

today I started my 7th week. Let´s see....since I started Insanity I have learned many things: First of all, Insanity is not a weight loss program (do not get dissapointed, I know, it happened to me, that was my original motivation when I started), instead, Insanity is a workout program to lose fat (not necessarily lot of…

I`ve never tried Shakeology, but I´d love to. I am from Mexico and I am not sure whether they ship it down here. I use other protein powder brands. Also there are other alternative products here in Mexico (around 1.30 USD per serving, 300 cal, 42g protein, vitamin, minerals, etc). Not the same, but quite similar (except by…

Day 43 here :D

Best drink ever: water. If I have to chose between Coke Zero or Diet Coke (Coca Light as called in Mexico) I prefer Coke Zero, tastes less artificial :D

Only reliable way to calculate calories burned, get a HRM. I bought one before starting insanity and It was the best investment ever. I am burning from 500 to 1200 depending on the workout (currently I am in my 2nd month and most of the max workouts keep me burning 1200) ch3eers
