I have the no-motivation spells from time to time. When that happens I think about all the reasons why I want to get healthier (my kid, all my small cute clothes in my closet); I also come on here and read success stories. I try to remember that this weight loss business takes time.

I was teased horribly as a child/tween and the insecurities I developed carried on well into adulthood. I eventually came to the realization that there's no escaping me, so I'd have to learn to love and live with myself. It's hard, but it is possible. It sounds like you need some kbean33 love. Now, there are some things…

I use mine to make cauliflower recipes (pizza crust, wraps, mashed potatoes). It's awesome. http://ifoodreal.com/cauliflower-pizza-crust-recipe/ has great healthy recipes that incorporate a food processor.

Hi Bham! My name is Nisha and my story is somewhat similar. I'm 34 and the mother of an amazing 2 year old toddler. For most of my life I was thin. I, too, would gain, but lose weight fairly easy. However, after my son's birth, it's been quite a struggle to get back to my old weight (125 lbs, size 6). I'm currently a size…

A pinch of yum is a great site. I just made this 'alfredo' sauce out of cauliflower. It sounds disgusting, but it was sooooo good (and only 284 calories with chicken and broccoli...big serving). She has tons of recipes that are healthy and delicious.

I love zumba! I don't go to any classes; I have the DVD. I'm losing weight and having a blast (all in my living room)

I bought the zumba dvds a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely love it. I don't feel like I'm working out and I actually look forward to doing it. My favorites are Exhilarate, Mix, and Activate. I do the Rip as well, but I use 5lb weights instead of those light sticks!

"Interesting. It's strange how 3rd world poverty stricken countries don't have higher obesity rates with this logic. Wouldn't you agree?" I don't think you can compare the two. The people in those countries that suffer from impoverishment are, more than likely, consistently lacking proper nourishment. Also, these people…

Absolutely. Years ago (when I was a straight stick), a girl in my math class was sent to the principal's office for wearing a short skirt to school. Before she stormed out, she pointed to me (and my tiny skirt) and asked why I wasn't in trouble too. The teacher calmly answered "Well, she doesn't have any curves. It's not…

Hiya, I am not a nutritionist, but I looked at your diet and you might want to try to eliminate some of the fattier foods (some days you go over your fat intake and you always seem to be under your calorie intake) for cleaner foods (unprocessed, natural food like fruits and veggies). Instead of a small scoop of butter…

Lol, I don't think I've ever burned that many calories in one workout. I do Zumba for about 35 minutes (it's close to being excruciating :-) and I usually burn around 377 calories.

Great job, Mike. I could definitely use more support and you're an inspiration. I'll send a friend request.
