Such a strong statement... as with anything there is a grey area. "I like my athletes to eat a little more, so most do a little more cardio" -Alberto Nunez /end of your statement

Correction. It will only put you in a catabolic state if you're not eating enough.

Peanuts and almonds... I am "starving" at 2200kcal a day.

2-5g/kg of lb for carbs is a good start. You can lower fats and protein to have a little more carbs if you like. That being said, I would cap at 2000 OVER daily intake in calories.

It doesn't quite work that way.... The effects on leptin are not as dramatic as once thought. It's more of a psychological boost than physiological.

Well said!

You just lack self control. Myself and many others, can and indeed enjoy foods in moderation.

Sounds like a jealous "clean eater".

It appears she is trying to maintain her weight....

Agreed.

The problem could be you as well. I highly doubt all the issues are on this guy.

I start by not labeling foods as "good" or "bad".

There is a huge perception that black women refuse to workout for a number of reasons. Hair being #1.

Bro splits are perfectly fine.

Did you even read the article? I will say no.

You're going to need a combination of them all. The amount of volume is totally dependent on your training experience and overall calorie intake. If you're a just starting out, a basic weight training routine is a good bet, coupled with some form of cardio. The amount of cardio is totally based off your starting condition.

I can't wait to see the results. This is a great idea!

Do what ever works for you.

WE have a winner. You're creating far more stress thinking about what you eat, than actually doing it.
-
What matters is the calories.... for weight control. People still fail to grasp this very basic concept.

This.

Wut?

This is what happens when you apply a bandaide to the real problem.

GNC sale is scam. The actually increased the price of their bars from 25 to 36 dollars. So you're not saving any money.

Great post.

Elimination and reduction are two completely different things. By the way, we are in agreement.

As I stated before, the OP was misguided in his approach. Of course, I am not him, so I will not try and explain the "full of irony....". Instead of making snap statements and posting stupid pictures. I do at least try to look at each comment objectively.

Macro nutrients are important to all, regardless of whatever metabolic issues (I use that term lightly). As I stated before, while misguided. I believe I understand where the OP is coming from. I have never in my life ran across a person that had to eliminate a macro nutrient from their diet.
-
I think I understand where the OP is coming from. You have people who will cut fruits, etc because they are bad. HOWEVER, will eat bacon, olive oil, etc, and think those foods are healthy. Since, they believe they are healthy, they will OVER CONSUME in those foods and gain weight. What matters at the end of the day is…

No.
