Example. Before and after. Big difference !

UPDATE: I have been using the scale for everything but liquids since I posted this. This morning I am down 2lbs since last week! Sooo yeah, guys, thank you. I was eating more than I realized.

I like numbers too. Yay data junkie! Heat definitely plays a part in my heart rate no doubt. I’m just trying to lose while still perform well so after all this I am still unsure how many calories I should aim for, lol.

Thanks so much for the insight !

Homemade. I don’t eat canned soup.. I built some recipes last night in MFP so I think that will help. I’ve noticed today my fruit portion is smaller using the scale vs the cup. The peanut butter wasn’t too off lol

Ok I am trying to understand this... what formula should I use? I use a garmin 935 and HR strap. My zones are done via the HR test my coach did. I don’t think my Calorie burns seem too inflated ... example my 4 mile run today (34 mins) I burned 318 calories via garmin.... interested in your thoughts. I am trying to get…

I’m a runner. Just did a 3:48 marathon and going for a BQ this year. I lift weights 2 days a week and go to yoga and Pilates. I hava lot of muscle

Oh and yeah my activity estimates I think are fairly accurate as I do use a heart rate strap and garmin. I also don’t eat all the calories back. I am hungry a lot though!
-
What do you guys do for things like soup? I have been doing my best but I’m sure it’s not perfect.
-
Thank you everyone. I do love my peanut butter, lol. I’ll do what you guys recommend and see what goes. Thanks again!

Ok thanks. I’ve been using the scale for meat, yogurt, nuts. Been using a tablespoon for peanut butter. Been using cups for oatmeal. Sometimes I do think the things like chili are hard to be perfectly exact.

Oh and MFP has me on 1200. But I am eating 1500-1700 due to exercise... maybe I should suck it up and not do that
-
My diary is set to public. I do use a scale and tablespoon. I’m not sure how someone eats so little and doesn’t lose weight lol! I do know I’m not big to begin with and my body is used to exercise but dang!

I am 31 and 5'1. My current weight is 117. My goal weight is 110. My starting weight was 130. I do the MFP 1200 + I eat back almost all of my exercise calories, so most days I'm eating 1400-1800 calories and still losing-- stop starving yourself people! I workout 5-6 days a week.
-
Thanks friend :) I am starving today so I'm listening and eating and I know I'll be over my "daily" today. But I will still be under for the week.
-
This is so confusing! Because if I would have eaten those 400 cals that MFP tells me I had left, I would not be at the 500 cal/deficit for the day. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the sync :/

Great job! I am training for half marathon too, so my workout schedule will look a bit different since my main cardio will be my 4 runs/week. I will be doing 1 long run,1 med length tempo run, 1 easy short run and 1 short/speedwork run, then one day I'll do cross training cardio of some sort. I'm hoping BBB will help me…

FOund it! I am not on the message boards much since I mainly use MFP from my phone but I'll check in on you guys :) I had to switch the days around to my program so Monday is a rest day usually since my long run days will be Sundays. But, this weekend was funky and I missed a workout so today I did 45 mins of turbokick for…

Thanks so much everyone!! I mainly run and do insanity or turbokick for my exercise. I think I may try the fitbit:)
-
Thank you I really appreciate it! And yes I don't want to aggravate my IT band. It's been really nice running and not having it hurt :) I think a big thing for me will be not doing other high impact cardio in addition to running. Just sticking to running, strength traning and then maybe one day of swimming or spinning....…
-
thanks everyone.... I do want to prevent injury... the last time I trained for a half i ended up with IT band issues... I just looked at Hal Higdons' plans... not sure which one would fit me best. I've done 3 halfs in my history, but it's been 4 years.... I am fairly fit right now... I workout 5 days a week -- usually 3…

Did you incorporate cross training into them too? I will look him up!
-
Great great job!! It's such a great feeling :)

Thanks guys!! I will look into the road tires for my bike! I went and swam laps this evening--at a pool--swam 36 laps (50m each) in about 45 minutes. Happy with that considering I haven't swam laps in 5 years LOL! :) There really isn't anywhere to open water swim here..... I am going to do a bike/run brick this weekend.…

Great job!!

This!:)

Way to go!!

Thanks everyone! I wouldn't call myself a beginner when it comes to strength, I know a lot about it-- used to work in a gym before I had babies! but--I just get bored easily and run a lot more now than I used to. Full body workouts 2-3 times a week seem like something people are doing. Do you guys do your strength on…

I love running! I aim for 10-15 miles per week right now
