Thanks for the feedback so far. My job has varying levels of activity - many days fairly sedentary, others running around. I try to exercise for at LEAST 30 minutes 6 times a week, some days more (burn an average of 300-400 calories according to my heart rate monitor). I am aware that MFP has these tools, too, but my…

I'm bumping this because I need one, too - my hrm just died! :frown:

We all need to vent sometimes. Sometimes our bodies just need to rest in order to heal. Have you been to the doctor? I would go to the doctor first, then listen to your body and get some rest! If you really don't want to miss exercise altogether, go for some walks - it's more gentle than a strenuous gym workout, but moving…

This is fabulous! I made it with fat-free cream cheese. I entered the recipe into sparkrecipes.com and this is the nutritional info they gave per 1-cup serving: 86.3 calories, 0.2g fat (0.1g polysaturated), 3.3mg cholesterol, 700.3mg sodium, 318.5mg potassium, 17.9g carbohydrates (3.6g fiber, 1.0g sugars), 4.7g protein.…

It's a picture book, but we use it with kids ranging in age from about 4 years through 12 (with a couple of younger and older kids thrown in). We conduct family programming and a lot of the grown-ups love it, too!

Your library probably has some you could check out to see what would work best for you. We do yoga with kids as part of some library programming. They *love* the book My Daddy is a Pretzel and the Yoga Pretzel cards you can get to accompany the book. Storytime Yoga is another great book that contains tons of yoga…

I can't afford to seriously consider either of those right now, but I *would* be interested in hearing from anyone who has tried this. If you get one, please come back and let us all know what you think!

So, if I am understanding this right, it is somewhat similar to a BodyBugg but no monthly charge? Hmm... ETA: There's a review of the fitbit here: http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/15/fitbit-review/

If you have the recipe, you can enter it into sparkrecipes.com or recipezaar.com or another recipe site/calculator so you have the accurate information for what you're eating. That's what I've done with homemade items, especially if it's something I know I'll be eating again!

Sounds fabulous. If I can find time to get the baby food this afternoon, maybe I'll make it for Boss's Day tomorrow! Thanks!

Bumpity bump. Thanks for posting this!

I made the cupcakes today - AMAZING! Thanks so much! I tried jadelynn's frosting, too. I think maybe I didn't beat the cream cheese enough. The flavor is good, but it seems a little runny and there are some lumps. I can't really use it as frosting, but it's a decent dip. (Mmm... Might try it with some apples.)

sounds super yummy! Thanks for sharing!

Mrs Dash has a wide variety of yummy seasonings. We use them all. Especially liking their new lime flavor lately. On pork chops, I often put a fresh sprig of rosemary on each side with just a tiny bit of olive oil before grilling. You need to rub the rosemary between your hands a little to release the oils, but the flavor…

<Adding spice cake mix and cream cheese to my grocery list> Thanks for the great treat idea!

I had read - and my dr agreed - that you should wait 4 hours to take BC and other pills after taking the hypothyroid medicine in order to give it a chance to be fully absorbed into your blood with no interference. It would actually make my life easier if I *could* take them together, but for now, I just have an alarm set…

I am really discouraged tonight, folks. Since being diagnosed and starting the medicagtion, I have been slowly gaining. I count calories religiously and get up at 4:30 every morning to guarantee I have time to work out at least 45 minutes every day. Up until about a year ago, I was losing slowly but steadily. I don't know…

So, my dr doubled my dosage of synthroid last Thursday. I was recently diagnosed and he had started me on 25 mcg of synthroid, which - after 4 weeks - wasn't doing anything at all. Since starting the new dosage, I have started *gaining* weight. Ack! I have NOT gone over my caloric goals and have continued to exercise every…

I was just diagnosed 3 weeks ago. Dr started me on a very low dosage of medicine which seems to be having no effect. I am going tomorrow so he can re-evaluate dosage and make adjustments. Glad to know there is a community here!

You look fabulous! Congratulations!

I *LOVE* beets! I roast them. I wash them, then wrap them individually infoil. Heat the oven to 375, place the foil wrapped beets in the oven, and roast for about an hour. (You want the beets to be tender when pooked with a fork.) Let them cool enough to handle. The peels will come off super easy (you may want to weat…

1 serving of pasta - 1/2 a cup - is about the size of a tennis ball. Enjoy your dinner!

Maybe I was doing it wrong, but I can *never* get frozen bananas peeled. I always peel them first, them put them in ziploc bags.

I'm sprry to see you go, though I do understand. I use this site mostly to keep track of my food and exercise but post to a different forum. Peace be with you all ways! :flowerforyou:
