Yearly, I go on clothes fit, it's just a number.

This is my obligatory recommendation for the Allan Carr Easy Way book/DVD thing ... It works for some, some on MFP too. It worked for me cold turkey after 20 years of smoking EVERYTHING :) Just chucking it out there ... You can't crave what you don't want, no willpower required ...

Margaret Thatcher. Oh, sorry, misread the question, I thought it was "Which celebrities death made you want to drink yourself stupid into the night in sheer celebration the most". My bad ;)

I hear THAT :) As an expat Pom in Oz there is a lack of decent real ale here, it exists but is drowned out by the flood of pish weak lagers. I will opt for a heavy beer every time, I used to love Newky Brown too. Guinness is generally rubbish here but I don't mind a local Kilkenny or Caffreys. These days If I'm drinking…

It's a glorified pedometer. But I still want one, it appeals to my geeky side. :)

I would suggest, respectfully and having done low ish carbing for 9 months or so, that you do want to track calories as well. Calories ARE king, I didn't want to accept this way back when but 'tis true. It is still easy to fail to make progress or pack on the blubber while not seeing a slice of bread, trust me. :)

Tuna (a variety of those tempter styles, avoiding the oily types) Eggs Cheese Bread Apples Sweetcorn Red Kidney Beans Coffee (Is that a grocery? Well, I'm buying it anyway) Spinach ... Oh, who am I kidding? Ice Cream A vat of Red Wine

Judging by your profile picture they are idiots . Damn, just realised that makes me shallow. ;) <This was my allocated one unnecessarily salacious post for the year>

It cits my falories, ish fine fer me.

Well written indeed. I went down the Paleo(ish) path for a bit, read all the WheatBelly stuff, ditched the legumes, etc. And to be honest at the end I felt like I had an eating disorder. One day I looked in the cupboard and didn't see "anything to eat" even though it was packed with food. So I questioned why I needed to…

Sorry to hear about your loss, take it easy on yourself first up. Then ... attack! You can do it, we can all do it, it's mostly in the mind and making healthy choices (consumption and exercise) a habit. I take the stairs everywhere, I extend my walk to the train station after work every day as a matter of course. To be…

Yearly, my trouser belt serves as daily feedback. I can't link it to anything via wifi but it seems to do the job.
-
No goal weight here, my last weigh in was a year ago. I go on the fit of my clothes, specifically a trouser belt I wear during the week. If I'm on the last notch comfortably I'm doing OK.

Multi, vitamin C and fish oil daily.

Absolutely, just like breathing while thinking is a no-no ... It can only lead to pain ;)
-
Just live, drink, eat and enjoy ... Really, just do it. We are put in this place for a minuscule time and we ain't meant to be obsessing over macros and ****e as we are making our way to sure death. That is absolute, no afterlife, total death by the way. You will die. Everyone you care about will die. So enjoy those…

And the glasses ;)

Hell yeh, nothing wrong with that, especially if they are full of scotch and headed my way :)

I've burnt me bra.

I can recommend Allan Carr's Easy Way book for the smokes. No advice to give on the booze :)

Oh man, tell me about mozzies. Bane of my life being the whitest person you ever did see in subtropical Australia. I find taking a vitamin B complex helps a lot. Turns your pee yellow, but it's a talking point ;)

I'd peg you as a Friend Of Satan (TM).

Yeh, Pretty much agree with replies so far. Look, I was was deep into the whole Paleo thing for a while (And I have a Wheat Is Murder t-shirt) but unless you have a diagnosed issue then just eat (and drink!) it all in moderation.

Drink a shed-load of red and pass out. Or do some meditation, find your inner peace and all that guff. Heroin addiction also works. Just sowing seeds ;)

It isn't, this kind of thinking ignores that the total calories for the day are the thing. Have 'em all at dinner if it suits your life and energy levels. Which is wot I do, 'coz it works for me. :) On topic, around 30 calories of milk in my coffee, that does me until around 7:30pm ... It's not like I'm bricklaying or…

Instead of driving myself crazy, I eat what I like.

Team America - Montage ... On repeat

Checking in ... Reds for me, el cheapo 5 litre casks seem to suit my low-rent tastes :) I do have a large bottle of Cooper's Extra Stout (beer) that I'm looking forward to tonight though, it's been sitting in the fridge all week ...

I've read The Primal Blueprint, I read Mark's Daily Apple for a while but I can tell you that the carbohydrate curve featured is the biggest load of BS you could ever see. I've even got a Grok t-shirt to prove my folly. Really, you don't have to believe this bunch of words spouted by a random bod on t'internet ... :)

Expat Pom from Kent living in Brisbane checking in. Speciality: Drinking loads of alcohol while still looking lean and full of energy :)
