I have a dream that one fine day I'll be able to open a milk Tetra Pak without covering myself in milk. That and religious nut jobs of all flavours around the globe will realise they are all being deluded and stupid, quit the hassle and violence and just learn to live with respect to fellow humans. I'm working on the milk…

Mwhahaha!

Same as last night and many consecutive nights before that ... Red, red wine and plenty of it. I had a spell of 14 years sober but schoolwork took up my time.

I am a light eater during the working week (and I use the commute as exercise time) so I use the weekend to make sure I'm getting enough for the week overall. I was over yesterday and plan on being over today but still make a decent weekly deficit. Then back on it Monday ...

No, thinking like that really isn't going to help you. Calories are good, I'll repeat that, calories are good ... food is good, food is fuel and is not the enemy, leverage it, don't fear it.

Water, black coffee, the occasional Coke Zero and a daily vat of red wine. :)

I like his stuff too, seems level headed and not another nutritional zealot. I did keto/very low carb for 6 months or so, I'm glad I did as it got me back in touch with what real hunger was (as opposed to blood sugar swings). I didn't see any metabolic advantage in keeping it up so I'm back on all things in moderation.…

Absolutely ... Grown up on Vindaloos/Phall in the UK now can't do without my hot stuff in Oz, the locals can't make it hot enough so I cook at home and add my homegrown chillies and save some $ :) Chuck Tabasco in everything, cayenne pepper too ... There is a place down in Byron Bay that makes the hottest sauce too. Spice…

Good luck to you ;)

Look, I have a Grok t-shirt (I did the whole carbs/insulin/Taubes/AHS thing) but even I can see it's restrictive AND not really based on any solid science. Sisson's carbohydrate curve has to be the most laughable thing ever. I don't deny that focusing on whole foods has to be a good thing but, as others have said, it does…

Tuna, without a doubt. And red wine, obviously.

Are the 3 days Saturdays? If not, I'm out.

Yeh, I believed all that carbs/insulin/glucagon stuff not so long back too. It's easily done, sounds so plausible. I am making it my mission to get as wrecked as possible, as often as possible and still drop fat. AND attempt to get all that good protein and essential fats inside me AND not exercise like a loon. Currently…

Sure is, I date back to bulletin boards and dial up AOL connections and I can categorically state that the quality of amusing cat photos has increased immensely while the standards of nutritional advice has remained fairly constant (when seasonally adjusted). It would be nice if this amazing worldwide communication medium…

It's a reflection of life ... If you want hugs then I would suggest an open forum on t'internet is the last place to look. Not being harsh, just an observation, I love the forums (fora, forii?) because all human life is here ...

Indeed, look at all those Asians wasting away, they'll be extinct soon.

I quite like them, I see them as a grown up version of Pot Noodle ;) Can't stand Harriot though. Quite nice with salmon ... 2 serves per sachet , around 180 calories per serve ... Carbs? Dunno, there is however many in there that is in there.

I'm fine with my height, it's my depth that worries me. I have hidden shallows.

Beer, since I moved onto the wine I don't miss it.

Scrambled eggs (two made this very morning by our mobile scrap-fed egg farm) cooked up with a pile of bacon, onions and chopped up sausages left over from last night's boozy bbq. And tomato sauce. And some toasted buns to mop it all up with. And coffee. I considered Special K but suspect that it just would not hit the spot…

Is it organic free range chicken?
-
Boozetastic in the evening. :) Boozing it right now in fact. Generally ... Coffee with milk to start some black coffee and lots of water through the day with a can of Coke Zero for fun sometimes. Then red wine, and plenty of it thank you very much, empty calories my *kitten* just fill that glass up :)
-
Agreed, water and red wine is what is needed.

They are fairly effective at getting me pissed, maybe I'm an exception ;)

Indeed so, I'm sorry I mentioned it, I expect to be dunked in a river in a chair within the week. Without wishing to add to the perceived 'advertorial' I will say the podcast is worth a listen as it is entertaining and contains solid advice. Yes, some of the seasoned fitness nuts may 'know it all' but for your average…

I drink it all.

Yep.
