I am hypothyroid and try to stay away from gluten as well. Sun Warrior makes a pretty good Vegan protein powder. I believe its a rice protein. I mix mine with almond milk and sometimes add chia seeds and cocoa powder. I can shake mine up, doesn't require a blender.

Sugar and sinple carbs. Anything like soda, bread, chips, cake, cookies, pretty much anything with alot of sugar etc. and I go hard! There is no stopping me for the rest of the day.

I wonder if it would work if you eat say 1700 calories so that all the nutrients are there but then exercise enough to burn say 800 calories so that your net is 900. Its below the 1200 but the nutrients are there however your body would be forced more or less to convert body fat to energy, assuming you are on a low carb…

I guess I need to figure out what level I need to lose weight without being too low or going into starvation mode.Also taking into account that I am doing low carb. I have no idea how to figure that out though. Maybe I will try to vary my calories a few weeks at a time to gauge where I lose best.

Thanks for the reply Vanilla. I have MFP set at 1400. Sometimes I eat some of my exercise calories back, sometimes I don't. I think I may start eating them back so that I am sure not go below 1200 Net.
