I think a lot of people can relate to you! I definitely can. I'm an ex-gymnast. Used to be 120lbs and fit but gained around 20 pounds in university so I'm at around 138 now. I find that I can stay motivated if I start my days working out. If you start out with your best foot forward, I find it easier to stay on track…

Good job with the workouts! I often find myself in your predicament. Usually, if I don't feel hungry, i don't eat up my earned calories. I try to normally stick to the 1200 a day regardless. But if you're hungry (most likely due to your vigorous workouts) then eating up your earned calories is totally fine.

egg whites! I love them for breakfast. I also love veggies and a low calorie dip. Another great one for me is coco powder with a little cream and stevia to sweeten. around 25 calories and really tastes like hot chocolate!

Exercise seems to have very little effect on my weight loss. If I want to loose weight it mostly has to be done by my eating habits. It really sucks, I have a pretty slow metabolism and generally only see weight loss results when I consume around 1000 calories. If I ate anything over 1600 - 1800 I'd gain weight. What makes…

I usually eat around 1200 or less a day, and do pretty intense workouts of 5km on the treadmill combined with weight training. I think the reason I can eat so few calories has to do with what I eat and when I eat it. Breakfast: I don't eat breakfast; I have a BIG coffee in the morning with whole milk and sweetner. Then i…

I used to just be a runner. everytime i went to the gym i would get on the treadmil and do some crunches after no weights. i always felt GREAT after these workouts. When i started personal training i became in the WORST mood after my workouts.. not so much like i wanted to fight with someone, but so exhausted and just…

My sister came over tonight and we actually did that! now i have purple and sparkly nails :) that's great advice though! It's much more productive to paint your nails. and plus, you can't eat while they're drying or you'll screw them up!
-
wow.. reading is actually a great idea!! i'm going to try that!

Good job! I think you're doing it right! Here's my advice to you: Your body will go into "starvation mode" if you starve yourself significantly, or if you don't eat at the right times (e.g always eat breakfast even if it's just a couple almonds!). To be honest, I've gone through stages when I've eaten very few calories,…

Ive never heard of that calculation before, but I really don't believe it to be valid whatsoever. For example, if you weight 300 pounds, according to the calculation you'd have to eat 3300 calories in order to loose weight, which is just not going to happen. Your body will go into "starvation mode" if you starve yourself…

So, if it doesn't matter when you eat, why do people say to always eat breakfast?
-
From my experience, no. Especially if you're making a deficit out of exercise, which it appears you are. Your body will go into "starvation mode" if you starve yourself significantly, or if you don't eat at the right times (e.g always eat breakfast even if it's just a couple almonds!). To be honest, I've gone through…

I'm glad the responses are leaning towards option 2! I kind of always thought that too. However, i notice a lot of diets say "no eating after 7" or something like that.. I suppose its to stop the late night snacking.

- Greek Yogurt is great with some almonds/granola (very high in protien) - Eggwhites are the most pure form of protien you can get with veryyyy little calories. I make an eggwhite omelette with goat cheese, which is the leanest cheese. Another thing i do with eggwhites is hard boil an egg, cut it in half, take the yolk…

Are they good on shock absorption? I hear they're super confortable!
-
agreed! why are those last 10 pounds so hard? I don't get it, isn't a pound 3500 calories all the same?
-
Okay thanks! Yah I'll definitely have to try that! Goodluck on your marathon!

You look great! and perhaps you can help me out here...I started personal training, and i weighed in at 131. My sessions are a LOT of weightlifting/resistance training. I used to do a lot of cardio (usually 30 minute run) but have rly cut down on it from my trainers advice. I weighed in last week at 137!!!!!!!!!!! I've…

I'll be your moral support! And ya I agree! Believe me, I have a twin sister whose 108 and eats everything! Hate it. I love this place though, so motivating. My biggest problem is keeping track of what I eat... I workout so much but it's pointless if you're going to eat more than you burn.

to see my collar bones again. they've somewhat disappeared on me... oh and also to wear all my crop tops that are stowed at the back of my closet...

HI! you look great as is! It really depends on your build. My current weight is 137, and i strangely think i look okay! Im definitely one of those people that weighs a lot more than they look. I've been 120 before and for me that's the perfect weight; however I wasn't lifting weights, I did all cardio to get to that weight…

Wow that is truly great to hear. I know celiacs have it bad, even if you have one tiny molecule of gluten your system can be affected. I've always argued with people about the gluten free diet (obviously an advocate of it) as experienced within my family, I truly do believe everyone is intolerant to it, to a certain…
-
Just thought I'd share! Perhaps there's others out there who have the same problem with their blood sugar levels or others who have opinions on the gluten free diet.
-
May the long runs and starvation begin! It's way more fun to bulk up than to cut :( hah
-
My body swells when I eat gluten. Runs in the family. To be specific, I actually swell whenever my blood sugar levels get too high, but gluten has the most significance on my blood sugar levels considering that it basically turns into sugar in your system. However, it's not dangerous, i just really hate the feeling of…

Yah I NEED one of those body fat percentage scales. That's ACTUAL progress. Where can you get one of those? I'll just die if it tells me I increased.
-
It's INCREDIBLY discouraging. Especially on this website where I have to track my progress. Thanks everyone. I guess i know my body type, and if i actually want to shed pounds i have to do an INSANE amount of cardio on a daily basis. I've never weighed this much in my life it's so crazy! Do you think I should start…
