Totally agreed that lifestyle is the primary success criteria to maintaining a healthy weight. And agreed that we are always looking for shortcuts, which this could appear to be one, and is most likely one. I am just convinced that there is a symbiotic relationship between this bacteria and our bodies and it effects are…

Thank you everyone! I will, I must!

To all, thank you for the many responses. I've decided to see my original dr. who is also a nutritionist. I would like one more opinion on this strategy and these numbers. I will open my diary for public access if you want to see my details. I agree the triglycerides are moving in the right direction which is hopeful. I…

Yea the burn is high, and I wear a heartrate monitor. It's a gym that does HIIT workouts, kickboxing, circuit, kettlebells, e.g. P90X style, with trainers that really motivate you! Yes it would have been good to know what my cholesterol particle make up was in November so I could have compared it to my March results.…

Dietary cholesterol has been pretty high, but I read that consuming cholesterol isn't as bad as once thought. Most likely from the up tick in egg consumption for the morning protein.

I did the lipitor thing for a while. It caused incredible shoulder pain and they pulled me off it. Several other things just didn't dent the numbers much, especially considering how much of it I had to take. Doing it natural with diet now. I know the numbers will still be high but the reduction in fat has to be making my…

How many calories are you expending at the gym? How many calories are you consuming? If there is a deficit then you will eventually lose lbs. Be truthful about both and IN/OUT on calories, otherwise, this program doesn't work.:glasses:

This article is cause enough not to drink the stuff: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/29/diet-soda-weight-gain_n_886409.html A trainer I once had made an interesting statement that I haven't found clear supporting evidence, but I suspect she was right. When we crave sugar, or salt, or carbs, or protein, our body is…

1540 calories seem like you target a slow weight loss program so 2 weeks might not be enough time to see much results. 1) Be very honest about the size of your portions and the accuracy of your data inputted, not sure estimate high 2) Be very honest about the caloric expenditure, not sure estimate low The process works and…

Your taste for sugar will slowly grow less and less, but never will it completely leave. A life without the things you love is not a life. But a life with the things you love, in moderation, is fine. I reward myself on days I do extra workouts or a really hard workout where I know I will have a big calories deficit.…

Just watched the fat, sick and nearly dead and am thinking about doing a juice fast as well. How goes yours?

Interesting article and findings. I wonder if they also measured the satisfaction or hunger scale of the participants. I know personally that when I distribute my caloric intake across the day I feel less hungry then if I eat a few larger meals.

I have noticed that when you first get back into working out, within a month you will usually get sick. I suspect it is all the toxins trapped in our bodies being flushed out. Drink water and work through the sickness at a diminished pace and on the other side of your first illness will be a prolonged period of wellness.…
