To lose weight you have to eat at a deficit. To eat at a deficit you have to know how much you are eating. To know how much you are eating you have to weigh and measure everything you eat. Yes, you will lose both, but if you strength train while losing you won't lose so much muscle.

No, it will burn your muscles along with fat. Might not burn all of them, but you'll lose some muscle while doing just cardio. Plenty of threads have been started on here about being 'skinny fat' because the person did nothing but deficit and cardio.

Straight up tears!!! Can't stop laughing. OP you say every single person is saying to lift weights and don't do cardio yet I haven't seen one person in this thread say that. So I'm gonna go ahead and say that you're wrong. There's no reason people can't do both or just eat at a deficit if that's what they choose.
