A trainer told me that it's better for me to lift lighter weights but do more reps. I don't want to look super muscular, just toned.

I've been slacking off this week. My goal was 10 miles, but I'm only at 5 so far. That makes 21 for the month. Only 29 to go, with a little over a week left!

I use MapMyRUN and love it. It's free

10 miles for week 2, making it a total of 16. My goal for this up coming week is 10 miles.

I'm at 10 miles so far for the month. I'm a new runner who is so IMPRESSED with how far some of you run in a day!

I use it, but not in the way most people do. I use it as regular protein powder after my workouts. I like the taste of it a LOT more than the other stuff I was using. I don't think I would replace meals with shakes/smoothies, but I like it and do replace snacks with it sometimes, and like I said, after a workout.

I'm up to 9 miles so far this month! I'm thinking my goal of 50 miles is a little out of my reach for right now, but I'm hoping that as the month goes on and I'm running more, I can get close, and definitely reach it next month if I don't this month.

I'll join! This seems like fun! I'll aim for 50 miles this month! I have two down already. 48 to go :)

I have read that it takes 4 weeks for you to notice a difference, 8 for close friends and family, and 12 for everyone else. I'm not sure if that's true or not, I read it on pinterest, lol. I have also been told that you might weigh more even though you will look a lot thinner. Don't get too discouraged yet! You're doing a…

If you haven't done so already, I would go to a running store and get fitted for new shoes. Beyond that, I have no advice.

I have a gym membership and I LOVE it! My kids love playing while I work out. If that isn't possible for you, I would suggest lots of walks, or go for a jog once your husband gets home. I would sometimes wake up before DH left for work because I like working out in the morning. You make time for the things that are…

I haven't tried this yet (it's on my list of things to make next week), but it looks good and I've heard really good things about it. "no flour, no sugar, and no dairy added! Ingredients- 1.5 cups of oats 2-3 super rippened bananas 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce handful of craisins to taste cinnamon Pretty much just throw…

My family really likes the Bob's Red Mill pizza crust recipe too. We even make cinnamon rolls with it. Mmm... How's that for our diets?

My son is breast feeding twice a day too. At this point (he's 18 months), I think it's more for comfort than anything else. I don't count it toward my goal.

Off topic, but I just wanted to say I love your picture with your kids. I love it when families exercise together and hope to do races with my boys some day too!

I'm a 27 year old mommy to two little boys, T who is 3 and L who is 18 months. They are very busy and like you, I want to be able to keep up with them. My husband is very athletic and the boys love playing sports already too. I can see them wanting to go kick a soccer ball in a year or two and I want to be able to go play…

The No Cry Sleep Solution book is amazing and could solve your sleep problems. I've been using the toddler and preschool version for my 3 year old. It's helped us so much.

Hi! I'm a 27 year old momma to two little boys. T is 3 and L is 18 months. Like someone else described themself as, I'm a crunchy momma. Still breast feeding, cloth diapering, bed sharing off and on with my 3 year old (he sleeps in our bed most nights, but it starting to move back into his room), baby wearing, natural…

I have not read the previous responses, but just wanted to share my experience. I am a lot like you. I absolutely could not run more than a couple minutes. I really wanted to love running, but I couldn't get past it. Then my husband started heping me figure it out and he said the secret is to start slow. Like really slow.…
