I did the first month of INSANITY twice (I get bored with dvds). My first round of INSANITY didn't go so well. I deprived my body of nutrition and I nearly ended up in the hospital, so making sure you get the proper amount of nutrition AND WATER is very important. An active body needs more calories than say someone who…

I weigh myself about every two to three days but my recorded weight is done on Sunday mornings after my workout. Water weight makes the scale jump a lot. One time I weighed myself before and after my workout and there was a difference of 2.5lbs! I'm not a fan of water weight.

I get really bored doing the dvds. Google is wonderful when I'm looking for new ways to change up my workout. I have a treadmill and I lift weights which I use about 6 days a week, but these moves give a little boost to my workout routine. And the laundry one is fun too because my dog chases me around :)

I joined at the beginning of the year I was 159lbs and stayed on track for three months and lost about 20lbs. When my husband and I moved over seas, I gained almost all of it back (151). Now that we are in our new home and I have all my weights and treadmill, I am down to 136lbs and continuing to see changes.

Walking lunges through your home; calf raises while you are at the sink doing dishes or brushing your teeth; full squats when picking something up from the ground. To get some cardio in, while watching tv do jumping jacks during the commercials or 30sec planks w/ 30sec rest (planks are awesome!). When I am folding laundry,…

I have a treadmill and I love it. I always run before my strength training. If I don't feel like running, I will walk at 4mph, incline of 6-8, with 5lb weights in my hands. Adding weight has definitely helped with burning more calories.

Love handles are tough to loose. I do squats, backwards lunges, side lunges and cross back lunges all with 10lb dumbbells. As far as belly fat goes, I use this equation: 30% gym/workout + 70% kitchen/food= 100% success. No matter how much you workout, if you are not eating the proper nutrients for your body, you will not…

I eat a banana everyday after my workouts along with a protein shake. Sometimes I will blend them together. Banana's are a carb and a little higher in calories than say an apple or grapes, but your body needs the complex carbs like fruits and veggie for energy, not to mention all of the vitamins and nutrients in banana's.…

Everyone has some great suggestions on here. I have to ask though, do you know your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate-calories burned while resting)? Google BMR and it will bring up many different sites for you to calculate this number. It gives you a base number to work with, then you add the number of calories you burn in your…
