Please tell me that first pic was a photoshopped joke and that no one would actually walk out like that?? OMG

So far I've found this article: http://www.bistromd.com/related-information/what-are-you-eating/calories-in-cocktails.aspx Though all of the drink options sound pretty boring.
-
Really... not one post?? Maybe it's because any potentially decent drink which would qualify is loaded with calories. PLEASE HELP ME PEOPLE or I will end up with a week of pina colada filled bliss. Hmm, maybe that's not such a bad thing. :)

Google stronglifts 5x5 - they also have a great iphone app. Also, JeFit

There is a "strength training" option under cardio.

No NSV is a small NSV in my opinion, but losing two shirt sizes is definitely not a small one! Congrats to you. :)

This. When I first started on MFP, I felt the same way. I could not believe how many calories I was eating. I used the information that logging daily was showing me to teach myself portion control and how to make better choices. I decided to eliminate many foods from my diet because they were calorie hogs. I also learned…

Same here! It's been my mission at the gym, amongst other things. I use the assisted pull up machine and am slowly decreasing the amount of weight I need to get the job done. If you belong to a gym - you could use the same one as I think most gyms have it.

Afraid to even start a new website obsession!! lol

I had to stay away from my friends who smoked for the first few weeks. I also changed a few of my "trigger" habits ie: coffee, chinese food, certain bars etc. I eventually went back to my normal lifestyle but I made the beginning as easy on myself as possible.
-
First, congrats on quitting smoking! I am a former smoker myself (going on 8 years cig free now) and I promise it DOES get easier and easier. I can't even imagine smoking now. Second, congrats on making the decision to get healthy and eat right. Both of these are no easy task so kudos to you! I am around the same…

Agreed. I'd like to slap that doc for taking advantage of people desperately trying to lose weight. I'm not saying the man can't make a living, but I am positive he knows how unhealthy this is for her. Shame on him.. Bad, bad karma.

Saw this on the news this morning and felt sick for her. It's sad to see the extremes people will go through to lose weight. How about some healthy eating and exercise? Or better yet, how about some common sense. Sad... and gross!

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear how people are sabotaging some of your weight loss efforts - how mean! It just goes to show you that sometimes, jealousy gets the best of people. Don't let them win. You all are awesome for being able to succeed despite their efforts. Let their jealousy fuel you... good luck!

My hair is super long (almost to my butt now - I NEED a cut) and very thick. I usually go there with it in a ponytail, but within minutes it is tied up at the top of my head in a messy bun-ish looking thing. I tie it up as if I was going to put it in a pony tail, but then don't pull it all the way through. I cannot have my…

Fire her *kitten* and get a new trainer. Boys Department - is she kidding?? Grrr.

Thanks for sharing this great article! I totally agree with the writer.

Hahaha.... hooray for two boobs! :)

What do you like better about it?

I've considered that but really enjoying working up a sweat with cardio .. plus I need it as stress relief to maintain my sanity! :)
-
Thanks everyone. Quite a few people have recommended the myofusion powder - I'm going to give it a shot.

I typically lift every other day following the back/biceps, chest/triceps, legs/core routine. In between, I usually change it up between running, the stairmaster or elliptical. I love doing high intensity cardio and need it for the stress relief.. it just burns A LOT of calories.

I recently (4 or 5 days ago) increased my calories too. I calculated my RMR and TDEE and found that the 1200 that MFP had as my goal was WAY under. My RMR was 1636 and TDEE 2636. I've since upped my daily goal to 1600 and make sure I eat that at a minimum. PLUS I eat back all my burned calories. I am slightly concerned…

She is a jealous B, that's why. I admire you for being able to get up that early and wish I could do the same! Mentally I'm there, but my body decides otherwise in the morning. :) Don't let her words discourage you - that is exactly what people like that want. You are keeping yourself healthy and in shape. Good job!
-
Ugh.. same!
-
I do the same - it's also a great way to get use out of all those fruits and veggies which I typically over ambitiously purchase at the beginning of the week!
-
Before long runs, I always ate half a banana, and half a peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat 1.5 hrs before the start. I'd save the other halves for right after the race, when I was usually starving! Good luck and have fun.. :)

Welcome! I joined about a week ago and am so glad I did. Everyone is very supportive and it helps to see other's food diaries and get meal ideas. Good luck on your journey! You CAN do this.

Thanks for posting this. I noticed this same thing with my diary over the last few days! I've been eating so healthy and still go over. Today especially has me frustrated because I've had my 1/2 banana, 1/2 grapefruit and maybe too many carrots (but they're carrots - hello!) and I'm OVER! I suppose I could eat less sugary…
