Speed walking at the mall IS dangerous, but it is the only way to lose weight. I typically would not recommend it to women since the mall is a public place. However, it is probably OK if you do it in herds of five or more and make sure you wear matching lycra burkhas.

If you do not speed walk at the mall, the lbs are simply not going to come off. It is not rocket science, man.

I have had a fit bit for about 5-6 weeks. I like it a lot. In fact, today was the first day I forgot it after my shower and I feel naked. At first I had some skepticism about accuracy because it made it clear I was more "lightly active" than "sedentary" and the calorie adjustment became a convenient excuse not to exercise…

Water has always worked fine with my Garmin HRM.

I drink 3-5 cups a day, with splenda and a splash of skim milk. I probably need to get off the splenda and try truvia or similar, but I am a work in progress....

Where will i be? Ohio, though I will likely head west for the mountains. What skills will I need? The obvious, wilderness survival, stealth, alertness. Can I outrun them? Really will depend on their speed, but I hope so! Weapons of choice: Mossberg 590a1 12g shotgun and a little league sized metal baseball bat.

Likes some others have already said, I typically, say "yeah, I've been working on it. Thanks for noticing" and try to change the subject. It is definitely nice to have people notice, but it also always seems slightly awkward and a little embarrassing.

Stay away from the Garmin 405x. I like the HRM and the GPS, but the bezel is a major pain in the *kitten*.

I drink a lot of Diet Coke and Coke Zero. I know it is not the best stuff for me, but it is definitely better than the real thing! I have definitely cut back and tried to replace with water, but I don't think I am doing anything horrible having a a few diet sodas here and there.

I have a hard time eating breakfast consistently during the work week, even though I know I should. When I do, it is typically Quaker Lower Sugar oatmeal or Cream of Wheat.

Greek is the shiz! Fage is the best, imo, but Chobani is OK too. Stay away from Stonyfield Farms....runny.

I log my weight every morning the same way, whether it shows a loss/gain or not. Since it fluctuates, I was a little paranoid this would show the same small losses over and over again, but MFP seems to only post new losses to the timeline. At one point, I went in and turned off the posting of weight loss to my wall out of…

Hey, thanks for the responses. I guess it makes sense that dirt would be better than pavement. As far as alternating, I'll plan on trying another run tomorrow, regardless of soreness. I'm a little better today than yesterday... I am still on a MFP maxed out weight loss diet of only 1420 cals, but I do go heavy on the…

I thought I was doing good by giving up my white rice for brown with restaurant stir fries and the like. Thai tomorrow and I may go back to the real thing rice-wise.... I never have and could not handle sushi with brown rice.

Hey there. Also a huge fan of the Newman's Own Lite Basalmic. The Tzatziki sounds like a great idea. Where do you purchase that? Is it in a certain section at the grocery?
