personally i think if your living your life in a way that requires calorie counting, its going to be very hard to sustain over a period of time. its great to get you started but not very sustainable. Does any other species have to consciously control their food intake?

because to some people it may come off like someone who has never had an alcohol or drug addiction telling people who have to just use self control. Its a little belittling . we are not all the same so try to support people as they try to learn and overcome.

this should have been posted in the vegan group if you don't want this kind of fight breaking out. some of the anti vegan talk is over the top, but don't you think comparing us to slave owners might be a little offensive and antagonistic ?

From my experience the lower my weight gets the stricter my diet needs to be to continue loosing weight. At the beginning of a diet I can eat just about anything and still loose, but then I hit the wall.

i regularly go 15 or 16 hours between my last meal of the day and breakfast the next day and I'm rarely hungry during that time. sometimes i even go 24 hours ( not always on purpose) but i still try and get all my needed nutrients.

It's not possible to guarantee that stuff won't get in mass produced food like ketsup, and so many others, so just don't over think it all. Heck in some countries they even go out of the way to eat bugs, and rodents they are not necessarily unhealthy.

You probably dont want to know everything about food processing Unless you want to start growing and producing all your own food, or you are prepared to pay much more money for what you do buy. Besides why does everyone get all up in arms about what's in a chicken nugget and not what's in hotdogs.
