if you want to eat bread go ahead and eat bread, but personally i know that by drastically lowering my consumption of it I'm far healthier now. there is plenty of ways to get your nutrients and daily needs we dont all have to eat the same way.

honestly i love going to chipotle and getting a burrito bowl. i get it with double meat, sour cream and guacamole for about 1000 calories.

in my opinion if losing weight is your goal ditch the shakes, and stick to real food that digests slower to keep you from getting hungry very fast after eating. drinking calories never works for me

I do believe the amount off calories consumed is what is responsible for weight loss. But for me lowering my carbs and raising my protein is what helps me achieve that. 200 carbs is still probably a big reduction compared to what you consumed when you gained the weight.

that chart is interesting since the 50s wheat, sugar, and fruit consumption is up while dairy and red meat is down.. Beef tallow ( beef fat ), and butter was also cut in half durring that time while vegetable oils more than made up for the difference ..I wonder what obesity, heart disease, and diabetes have done in that…

i apologize hfcs has way more than doubled while cane sugar went down, but overall sugar consumption went up by more than 50 percent since the 50s. in 1990 it was 146 in 2000 it was 152, while not a big increase there, its still not down.

yes cane sugar went slightly down while hfcs took over and went up drastically our consumption of overall sugars have more than doubled. look it up

i have read that article before and as i remember it doesn't tell people they NEED to skip breakfast.

it probably does have a lot of assumptions but in all fairness about every nutrition article wrote is full of assumptions. people make the assumption because a correlation study says people who eat breakfast weigh less that breakfast must be necessary.

i eat mainly a primal diet but on occasion i eat potatoes, or rice and they don't seem to effect me like wheat, and sugar does.
