Hi,
I'm posting on here all the way from Australia lol!
I'm wanting to know if you can consume Meal Replacements Shakes + Protein Shakes?
Or do I need to drop the meal replacement shake?
I use OptiSlim for my MR shake....
Obviously Im wanting to start protein to help bulk up a bit as I lose weight...
TIA.
Tammy.

Absolutely....I've started drinking them again since I'm sitting at a desk.....Some of the better MRs have a really good mix of vitamins, protein, carbs, etc.0

I dont usually have breakfast but at least on the shakes I will have one 99% of the time plus a piece of fruit...
So it seems that it should be ok?
Now to find a protein shake I like...0 -
They really serve there purpose if you give it a chance0

Is there a reason that you prefer to drink your meals rather than eat?
If you have no reason for it other than hoping to drop some weight, eat instead! The meal replacement shakes are really only beneficial (in my opinion) if you're unable to eat an actual meal. Drinking calories is no fun.
A protein shake is good if you're unable to hit your protein goals on a daily basis through eating food (chicken, fish, etc.)0 -
Thres is no reason you can't use both to supplement your diet but be careful not to become dependant on them - actual protien and cals from food always seem to be more benificial (and fill you up mor ein my opinion)
If your looking for more supplement advice check out bodybuilding.com i use them for info on everything

HEY HEY!
Im an aussie as well, but im posting from germany :P
I bought a local diet shake and want to start replacing breakfast and lunch.
mine are 168 calories each with water...is that too little? Note: i eat a normal dinner because i dont get to decide what it is0 -

Whatever gets you to your calorie and macronutrient targets.0

Protein shakes in and of themselves do not "bulk' you up0

My humble opinion - the MR or protein shakes are OK for an occasional meal replacement but not for long-term use. I sometimes use them for breakfast with a piece of fruit because they're very portable, and sometimes as a refuel after a workout. They are filled with nutrients but the calories are pretty low so your body might not be getting enough calories to keep your metabolism fires stoked.0

HIi Tammy! in my opinion you don't need to have two different shakes, just buy one like GNC TOTAL LEAN 25, that is a meal replacement with the protein needed for muscle grow and recovery.0
