I had the Top Hat LEEP and my doctor told me to take it easy for a few weeks. Ask your doctor what he thinks and definitely take the advice.

Are you figuring you need to eat that much chicken to get the right amount of calories and protein? If that's the route you're taking it will definitely be a lot of food since they're not high calories foods. Maybe trying to add in some other sources. Fish is really high in protein and low calories. Beans and peanuts are…

Oh yes. Finding time for the gym is ridiculous. I have twin 2-year-old boys and a 10 year old daughter in soccer. Here are a few things I do: 1. walk very fast 2 miles on my half hour lunch break 2. High intensity 20 minute workout in the evening (either 30 day shred or customized workout) 3. go to the park in the evenings…

I am right with you. I have been maintaining my weight for about a year and a half now. I continue using MFP so that I don't gain the weight back. On weekends I go completely off and eat what I want, and even what I don't want. So I keep my calorie allowance low and work out almost every day during the week to make up for…

Please please don't do that again! I can definitely understand how you feel. When I first got serious about losing the weight I was very strict. I drove my husband crazy always talking about calories, but it was the only thing that ever worked for me. I would allow myself to give in once and a while, but what I would do is…

The 30 Day Shred is another good one. The workouts are only about 25 minutes and that works best for me because I have a hard time finding an excuse to not spare 25 minutes.

I do the same thing, and it really sucks. Come Monday I feel like crap. I think it's because I'm not gaining weight and I'm not entirely unhappy with my weight. So for me, I need to think of something to motivate me to care about losing and toning, like wearing a bikini next summer :-)

Could you try replacing it with lower calories snacks? Pretzels or rice cakes? Then try moving on to celery and carrot sticks? Can you fit in a 20 minute workout earlier in the evening to try making up for some of the calories? I usually do Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred when I'm short on time. I find that I can't make an…

whenever I order chinese I ask for it steamed and the sauce on the side so I can control how much is used. My favorite is shrimp and chinese vegetables with white sauce (and I use very little) over brown rice. I don't get anything breaded or fried.

No, not really. Cardio is definitely the best for burning calories, unless it's very intense lifting. However, strength training has a lot of benefits. It will help raise your metabolism so even at a resting rate you're burning more calories. I think to get the most benefit from weight training you should work it in…

It's a DVD broken down into 3 20 minute circuit training workouts. You start on level one for a week, then level 2 for a week and then level 3. However, I use this when I'm short on time for a long workout. It's definitely a tough 20 minutes! I like it because there's no excuse to not find at least 20 minutes in a day. Now…

First thing is don't stress over it. You have to allow yourself time that you can kick back and not stress over the calories, or you may come to resent it. Back when I was super motivated, if I had plans to go to a party I would get in a really hard workout that day so I'd have tons of extra calories to spare. The day…

I can soooo relate! I have twin 2 year old boys, a 9 year old girl, a fiance, and 2 kittens. It's stressful to workout with them up and I feel guilty going to the gym after being gone from them all day and only having a few short hours with them in the evening. I try to work out when they're in bed. We have a lot of dvds.…

Boxing is awesome cardio. Either with a punching bag, or use light weights, squat position, and punch across across your chest. I definitely burn more calories with the punching bag, or sparring, than I do with any other cardio.

Some days a feel my pouch more than others, but it definitely going away...now I just have that Freddy Kruger looking skin. I do a lot of core muscle workouts. I learned a lot of really good moves from Jillian Michael's 30 day shred.

the ounces should be on the beer. an average bottle of beer is 12oz.

All I ever use is brown sugar or honey and sub pineapple juice for the water, place a few slices of pineapple on top, cover and bake. If you bought a honey baked spiral ham, it's probably already flavored, so you would just heat and eat

I was actually hoping to find a way to stop losing them!!!! I think I lost mine so fast from doing so much upper body workouts. I started at a boxing gym in February and they were gone in no time :-( Very deflated :-( If anyone knows of a natural way to plump them all I'd love to hear your secrets!

Be careful weighing in on the Wii Fit. If you're on carpet you have to place it in the same spot of the floor every time or the weight could be off. There have been times that I weighed myself in the beginning, then worked out, and weighed myself again and there was an 8lb difference. Either Wii Fit is amazing and I lost…

The amount of calories burned will vary from person to person depending on how hard you're working, your age and your weight. I enter it in as circuit training. However, the best way to know for sure would be to use a HRM. I've only been doing the 30 day shred for a few days, but it definitely gives me a good workout in…

I take boxing classes at a boxing gym. Very intense workout. It's also a great stress reducer!

Just wanted to mention that boxing is a great workout for soon to be brides. I've been boxing since February and can't believe how fast I lost my back boobs :-) Boxing really helps tone your arms, back, and chest, which is what wedding gowns show off the most. Best wishes to everyone :-)

Thanks everyone! Sometimese you just need to hear it (or read it) from someone on the outside to make you think. My drinking is completely out of boredom, once I have one drink I'm in party mode. And 4 6oz glasses of wine seems to go by quickly. I could definitely learn to back off a bit.

We BBQ a lot and I just make sure I stick to the meats, veggies and fruits...and away from the dips, rolls, or salads made with mayo (to save room for a few beers). I love kabobs and fruit salad. Guacamole dip, salsa, or humus aren't bad either.

I do have a hard time eating all my calories most days, especially the days that I get in a really good work out. I started using this site because I think one of my problems was admitting how much I eat. So by having to account for every little bite, it makes me stop and think before I eat now. I now will eat one slice of…

I have mixed feelings about the Wii Fit. I mainly use it for cardio. I do 10 minutes of hoola hoop and 20 minutes of running every day. I definitely burn a lot of calories and have noticed a huge difference in my waist line. I am not a fan of using it for the yoga and strength training because I feel that it takes too much…

Most days I am under by a few hundred, which I don't feel is too bad. However, on days that I take my boxing class I am way under. My boxing class (according to this website) burns anywhere from 500-800 calories or more. So last night I was still under my calories by almost 900. I ate a snack, but I don't want to start…

I jog for 20 minutes every morning and burn more than 200 calories. I follow that with hula hooping on the Wii for 10 minutes, but am not sure how many calories I'm burning, just know that I'm noticing a difference in my mid section. The best workout I get is from my boxing class. I take an hour boxing class twice a week…

I've only been using this site for a few weeks, but am definitely finding it helpful. I used the automated goals, but am not sure how to determine if they are what's best for me. I always go over my protein, never reach the goal for carbs, and am usually just below the goal for fats. Should I not worry as long as I'm…
