oh, I was also doing Jillian Michaels dvd's before my doctor cut me off. I did find that the dvd's were getting harder for me to do already.

I believe typically you can continue to do anything you're already comfortably doing. Rule of thumb is if you can carry on a conversation you are ok. I didn't find out I was pregnant til 7 weeks and had been boxing prior. I continued going to my boxing fitness class (no contact) for a few more weeks and really wish I could…

Hi ladies, I think I just spent most of my day trying to catch up on all the posts :-) For most of my pregnancy I've craved sweets, birthday cake mostly. This past weekend I was at a birthday party and definitely had a cake overdose! I felt super guilty afterwards, and felt like my little man was break dancing in my belly,…

In my first trimester I couldn't do a lot of veggies and wanted nothing but cake. I've been fine since the 2nd trimester and there aren't really any foods that bother me now (except i still want cake  ).

My goal weight after the baby is around 150-155. I'd like to aim a little less, but I too like my wine and margaritas a little too much. Although with breastfeeding I won't be drinking much so it's always a possibility.

Heather, exciting topic for me!! I cannot wait for post baby workouts! If I'm able to have a normal delivery I hope to start walking within a week or 2 and slowly work back into jogging/running. Since I haven't been able to work out since March it will probably take me some time to build back into intense workouts.…

Hey Ladies, is anyone else developing some really ugly vericose veins? I've always had one behind my right knee but now it's traveled almost the whole lenth of my leg. Sometimes it bulges out more than others. Is there anything you can do for them? I drink a ton of water, but exercise is out of the question for me during…

Leg cramps and constipation are 2 things I know too well. To prevent leg cramps: Bananas to prevent (potassium I think), and lots of water To prevent constipation: lots of fiber. Fiber one bars aren't bad, raisin bran, spinach (which also helps with extra calcium), apples, prune juice (if you can stomach it). Nature's Own…

I think it's natural to put on a few pounds early on with your growing ta tas and retaining fluids. I gained 2 in the beginning and then lost 3 before I started gaining again. Goal this week...fill up on healthy snacks instead of junk. Doing a pretty good job so far, stocked up on lots of fresh fruit. These past few weeks…

[/quote] I'm with you. I am set at 1600 and most days I do at least something to give me more calories which I rarely eat back, instead end up around 1500-1600. I have been aiming for 1200 for months now and I can't get over the mindset of not gaining a ton of weight so I'm kind of struggling. Plus, I used to have around…

Good morning ladies, I hope everyone's feeling great today! I tend to read through these threads without ever really posting anything. I love get to know you quizzes though :-) Name: Danielle Age: 29 Occupation: Dept. of Housing Multi Family Loans Dream Job: Teenage Girl Counselor SO/DH name & Occupation: Jerry, computer…

I have 3 year old twins and a 10 year old. I can't speak for my tummy at the moment because I am pregnant again; however, before I got pregnant I had lost 40 pounds and my stomach was pretty flat :-) The skin was still stretchy and when I would sit down it would sag a little, but I can deal with that. I think some…

Find some low cal alternative snacks that may help your cravings. I usually turn to pretzels or baked tortillas and homemade salsa or guacamole. When you absolutely have to have those chips, grab the tiny individual bags instead of the large bag so you make sure to not over do it and end up feeling worse. Fighting the…

I was blessed with lots of stretch marks with my first pregnancy, but I gained way too much weight too fast. I'm not so sure that the creams really help with stretch marks, but definitely with the itchiness. Don't stress if you do get them, they will fade :-)

Hi Ladies! I'm almost 15 weeks with baby #4. Congrats to all the pregnant ladies and I hope everyone's feeling good :-) Reading all of your posts I am so jealous of those of you who are able to keep up with your workouts. I am at risk of having an incompetent cervix so my doctor told me no more workouts...He said I am able…

I would fit in the extra workout and just enjoy yourself. Be sure to ask if they use butter or oil in cooking. I found this list on some website, not sure how accurate it is. Pina Colada (6 oz): 378 calories Mojito (8 oz): 214 calories Cosmopolitan (4 oz): 200 calories Chocolate martini: (2 oz each vodka, chocolate…

Thanks everyone! This is actually my 3rd pregnancy (4th child), but the first time while being a "calorie counter". I want to continue counting calories while pregnant to make sure that I'm still holding myself accountable to healthy choices and to make sure that I'm eating enough. I will be stopping by GNC this weekend.…

I use 3 and 5 pound weights. you don't need much room. There is some jumping, but nothing that should be too crazy for your neighbors. I never actually did the shred 30 days through. I use it on days when I'm short on time for a longer workout and I will just rotate through each level.

Once I got to where I was comfortable with how I looked and felt i stopped counting calories. i did really well for the longest time. Over about a year I gained back about 10 pounds, so i decided it was time to start tracking again. It makes me accountable and makes me think twice about eating something if I know it's…

I agree. I think some people worried that it labels them. I was one of them. I had twins 3 years ago. High risk pregnancy, both my husband and I were laid off and had trouble finding another job, the boys were premature, and we were dead broke for the next couple years. On top of that I too have a family member that has…

Exercise, hot tea, and cleaning and my stress relievers. I think cleaning because I always feel like clutter stresses me out. I recently was studying for an exam and got to a point where I think I over studied and couldn't think straight so I went to the gym and sparred. After that my mind felt clear. Good Luck!

Thanks everyone! Awesome ideas :-)

Definitely up the weight, it can make a big difference. I don't do them every day, only on days when I only want a quick workout and I'll alternate between 2 & 3. Or if I have time I'll do 2 and 1 at the same time. I also like the Boost Fat workout and you can also add weights to increase the intensity of that workout as…

It definitely takes some adapting. Thankfully, I love vegetables. I still cook the same things that I use to for my family. I stopped eating, or at least limited, the starch and replaced it with lots of extra vegetables. My plate is still plenty full, just with different things. For spaghetti night I add squash or spinach…

Yes, pretty much everything has calories in it, even lettuce. However, vegetables are not high in calories and are packed full of nutrients. What do you mean it's forcing you to not eat vegetables? When I changed my diet I replaced any starch sides (potatoes, noodles, mac n cheese, chips, etc.) with lots of extra…

Anything Jillian Michaels. I love the 30 Day Shred for days that I'm short on time. it's 3 seperate workouts and are only about 25 minutes each. When I have more time and feel up to it I'll combine 2 of the workouts. you also only need a few handweights, no other equipment. I've heard awesome things about P90X, but I…

I forgot to mention...When I was losing weight I did allow myself times that I would induldge, but I made sure that I worked out enough to eat those extra calories. Even if it meant spending 2 hours in the gym Saturday morning so I could go out for dinner and drinks that night. Then I NEVER felt guilty, I felt good about…

I don't want to scare you, but you need to be careful...My friend and her husband both went on crazy diets. He went on some kind of diet where he was only eating bars and shakes and she went on a diet where she was only eating about 700 calories a day and little to no fat. Both lost a lot of weight in little time. Once he…

Gotta love them! have twin almost 3 year olds. One has perfected the use of *kitten*, followed by a growl (Totally my fault), and the other climbed out of a crib without his diaper on and got a scratch. He's been telling everyone he has "Boo Boo Balls" for almost a month.
