Excellent post. Congratulations on your achievement. It's great to see someone achieve their goal in almost exactly the same way I am doing it (daily weigh-in, track on Libra, deficit mostly from diet).

Nice work on the 10 lbs in 5 weeks. That's nothing to brush off. Weight loss isn't linear though so there will be variations, times when the weight comes off quick and other times when it doesn't. Stay consistent with logging and give it a little more time. The evening snacking will only be a problem if it puts you over…

Her workouts consist of walking for 45 minutes, 5 times a week. For two weeks. She isn't building muscle. OP 1: have patience. Weight loss doesn't happen right away for everyone. 1A: buy a scale and weigh your food. While not everyone has to weigh food to be successful, many of us find that, when compared to the scale, we…

+1 And you are only 2 lbs from your goal weight. It gets harder as you get closer to your goal. Keep tracking and logging accurately for another couple weeks.

Ranch + fries + bacon bits = awesome And I've found almost any french fry combo dish can be improved by substituting tater tots. I might have liked the poutine I had in Vancouver more if it had included tater tots.

I've seen those types of posts also. They are usually claiming that because there are errors in nutrition labeling or the MFP entry, or small errors in the food scale, you can never be perfectly accurate weighing food. Therefore you should not weigh food. Then they make some circular argument about how you should eat or…

Look up body weight exercises. There is plenty you can do at home with no equipment. I'll spot you one http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/

1 - price and proximity to work 2 - lat pull down or leg press. Trying to use Dumbbells as much as possible 3 - I've been doing Bulgarian split squats recently. I like those 4 - I'm in weight loss mode. Down from 230 to 218 since late December. I need PF right now because I have been all about excuses wrt working out. My…

I looked up the actifry. Had never heard of it. I think it's closer to baking with a coating of oil than actually frying.

Any weight difference between raw and cooked is water weight. If you use the raw weights and raw entry values you will be as close as you can get.
-
So log it as 325 g of raw potato and 2.5 ml of oil. That will make sure your calories and macros are as correct as possible.
-
Did you eat all of the potato or just a portion?
-
Great progress!

Nailed it. Includng ending the day wth a cupcake.

I agree with looking at 3 weeks of data instead of 3 days. But I'd rather look at 21 measurements over three weeks than just 3 or 4 measurements. That's why I weigh daily and record daily in another app which does stats in a way that I like.
-
Have you entered anything in your food diary? Just making sure because it's not clear from your post whether you have been logged in or logging all day.

No closing time for my kitchen. In fact I usually don't eat dinner until 7 or 8. If I've got room I'll have dessert closer to 9. It depends on how I feel.

I'm 5' 9" and 218 lb. I started at 240 in 2012 and got down to 200 in 2013 using MFP. I stopped tracking my food and got back up to 230 by the end of 2014. I started tracking again in December with a 1lb /week goal. I know that MFP works for me as long as I use it. My calorie target is 1920. I go over some days, but I get…

Just sent a request. Looks like you restarted again after a hiatus. I'm in the same situation.

You want to lose 2.5 lbs per week. That is higher than what is typically considered realistic. 1-2 lbs per week is a healthy rate. I'm curious how you know you're not exceeding 1500 calories / day if you aren't counting. 3 miles is 20 to 40 minutes of running, which you are doing three times a week. That isn't going to add…

You don't need music for that. Just headphones.

I weigh in daily. I like the immediate feedback and it makes for a better trendline. Others prefer weekly. To each their own. As for daily variation, the numbers will vary quite a bit. The post linked below was about fluctuations and has several screenshots of normal variation during weight loss.…

I had no idea butter in coffee was a thing. You, and Google, have helped me learn something new. Thanks!

Is the butter for the coffee or the eggs?

@PrizePopple - What is that website?

One of my favorite sayings from a guy I work with is "you can always stop doing something dumb." He is usually talking about workplace safety and not continuing down a path that might get you hurt. But I think it applies here. If I am past the point of eating what I planned and am half way into that box of Girl Scout…

^this I just did this for breakfast this morning. My wife made a coffee cake. I entered the ingredients and precooked amounts into recipe builder. Then when it was done I weighed the whole cake in grams before we served any. I entered the whole weight as the number of servings in the recipe(1749 g in this case). I weighed…

You have been reading the forums so you know that logging consistently and accurately is critical to success. And I'm sure you would expect much of the comments to your post to focus on that. Mine is no different. You have said that you are weighing your food and checking the accuracy of the MFP entries. So I haven't…
