  • You can always eat well and then fortify your drink with a really good protein powder (whey). I like to mix Dymatize Elite Extended Release Fudge Brownie with chocolate milk. They taste really good together and I drink that after my weight training 3 times a week. Spiru-tein chocolate with chocolate milk are good together…
  • Yesterday: league volleyball. 75 mins! Really sore today: very competitive games last night. Tonight, strength/weight training with my hubby.
  • I also recently added a meal protein chocolate powder that I mix with 1% choc. milk (Spiru-tein). I drink that in the morning with something else on the side. For instance: this morning, I had 1 scoop meal protein powder with 12oz choc. milk, a medium banana and 5 1/2 in slices of fresh green bell pepper. I had that a 8AM…
  • Sorry that was so long!
  • For me, I just didn't want to be fat and unhealthy anymore. I couldn't keep up with my little one, I had back pain everyday, I felt unattractive, tired, headaches, etc..... I started at 190 size 12/13 and I "dieted" to get the bulk of the weight off with lots of walking. Lots and lots of walking: with my husband, daughter,…
  • WOW that dress is fabulous on you! Very flattering. You should wear the heck out of the dress!!!!!!!!! Fantastic job!
  • ^^ This.... I feel this is very correct in most cases. Healthy calorie deficiency with a good diet and lots of moving is key for most to loose weight and change your lifestyle. Adding at least some muscle is important if you want to look fit and toned as you loose weight. No one wants to loose a bunch of weight and have…
  • It's amazing how much 50 lbs changes somebody in looks, on the inside, how you feel about yourself, how you look at life, etc..... Fantastic job. You look great!!!!!!!
  • I'm going to assume you're probably around 5'3" or 5'4". You're BMI it specific to you only based on a variety of measurements. The range is basically based on your gender, age and height, but I wouldn't use that as a way of determining what you should weigh. What weight you should be at is totally up to how you want…
  • These people drive me crazy!!!!!!!!! I have a friend who hates his job and of course he constantly has to complain about it all over facebook every day and every time I see him. It's like, I already know you hate your job, then maybe you should go look for a new one! Oh and good luck with that attiutude! Ha....... Far too…
  • Age: 28 Height: 5'3" Calorie Intake: 1200-1400 +exercise cals (sometimes more if I exercise rigorously or feel like eatting more) Workout: While at work I do planks, side planks, back extentions, bridge, squats, neck and shoulder stretches, various different arms curls (both with 8 lbs free weights and resistant bands with…
  • Fabulous! And who doesn't love some zebra print!!!!!!!!!
  • Pictures do not lie..... that's when I realized how much I had gained. I barely recognized myself. That and my sister-in-law told me I wasn't that much overweight.
  • I just wanted to say that I took some of your advice and went to the Dr. I have really bad seasonal allergies! Who would have thought!!! So I'm taking care of that thru a prescription. Probably take a few days to really get in my system. Also, my Dr. suggested I start taking a multi-vitamin. We went over my food intake and…
  • This is not about eating enough..... this is about caffeine pills. Period! Not that I'm pro or con, I'm just getting feedback. Not all those pills are extremely potent either. They do make different strengthens and some are more natural than others... I don't know all the details about them I just started researching…
  • This is great advice: thanks! I don't always eat under 1400 cals... sometimes I go over and up to 1600 it just depends on what my body needs. I tried eatting more cals regularly but I just felt over full and my body always seemed to maintain and not loose. I eat when I need to and never eat until l actually feel full.…
  • Some people are on here for actual support, motiviation and advice. Most of us are not professionals and can only offer our own opinion or experience. Some MFP people can be very negative and I feel that all that negativity isn't helping anyone. I just want to give some people a big hug and slap the b**tches that are…
  • Haha... I remember that episode and caffeine! And my Dr. said all my levels are fine. Nothing is off...... I'm just very busy. Also, I didn't even think about caffeine pills it was a co-worker who suggested them so I thought I'd look into it and see if anyone has any helpful info on them. I'm not exhaughted but who…
  • Yes suggestions on caffeine pills: have you ever taken them, have you not and why, what do you know about them, etc..... actual helpful information about the topic!!!! Some people on here are really great about posting helpful information about the topic at hand, others: not so much!
  • I said I'm tired not exhaughted and it's not exclusively from what I'm eatting for god sakes! I really think you are just being rude!!! I wish you could block people from your own posts..... MFP please make this possible to do!!! I do think it's a vitamin thing though. Researching is not the same thing as taking caffeine…
  • I'm very happy at my TDEE - 20% right now. I'll probably up my cals to more like 1600-1800 to maintain. Maybe 1900-2000 when I start with my trainer in a month to work on toning and building some muscle. But right now, TDEE - 20% feels right to me and my body.
  • GENERALLY eat 1200-1400 not always... it depends on what I'm doing that day! Maybe you didn't see the generally part of my post. Plus I had 63-65 lbs to loose: I don't count that as not having a lot of weight to loose. I've lost a lot before I starting doing MFP. Also you happened to not mention TDEE. I re-evaluated my…
  • I'm eatting well and plenty. I don't over load on carbs as they always make me feel slow. I eat lots of veggies, fruits and lean meats/chicken/fish 4-6 oz a meal only though, nuts like unsalted peanuts, etc... oh and natural applesause (LOVE THAT). But I am going to start taking a vitamin. I think that may be the issue: I…
  • Yep! I don't drink coffee, sugared beverages, etc.... some extra energy (if possible) would be REALLY nice!!!!
  • I'm not taking anything hence the reason for this thread. Full time job, full time mommy and wife, house to take care, other family to take care of, lots of exercise to get in shape, etc, etc, etc...... nothing is an issue just looking for ways people use to get more energy and caffeine pills were suggested to use on an…
  • Can't stop laughing!!!!!!!!!   :blushing:
  • I don't have anemia, I've been tested (many times actually) and my levels are all good. I have to get a screen at least once a year, every year for work on everything to the blue mood regarding my health so all my levels are clean. Including glucose, HDL, etc... all that is good. I'm completely healthy from the Dr.…
  • There's a good chance you might be building muscle. Check your measurements. Personally: I'd rather loose inches overall than weight!
  • By the way your arms are fabulous!!!!!
