  • I'm 5'4/5'5 depending on who measures me! I started at about 209 :( (I have only just worked that out!) I'm at 176(ish) the now. I would love to get down to about 150 (I'd even take 160). At the moment I hit a plateau due to a serious shorn fracture on my ankle, I had a trampoline accident
  • Thank you so much for all your support, it means a lot that I have somewhere to go!!. I am feeling better about my journey and have managed a few days with being focused. I have made room for treats with exercise and things and realised I am human and not a machine. (would be easier if I were a Robot haha!) The husband is…
  • Yeah I know that I can have the odd treat, which I will still do, just needing to reign it in and know that if I write it down in public then that way I have no come back! :) x
  • Me too! I've been asthmatic since age of about 20. I was born with Eczema which they say goes hand in hand with Asthma! A lot of people have commented that I dont use my inhalers a lot, never have them with me at the gym took a long time to get to that stage to be fair though! :) x
  • Hi! I'm joining in here, I'm sweating for my wedding, but it's not till Early 2015, so I have about 18 months to get my sweat on. I'd like to lose about 15(ish) pounds. I've been going at this now for about 2 years already and slowly it's coming off, just taking its time. Feel free to add me! :D xxx
  • I've lost 31lbs (some with MFP some without) I was a 36E....and still am a 36E, not lost anything from the girls. My partner is happy about this...me maybe not so much. I might see some come off in the next little while I guess :) I like them the way they are anyway
  • There are two obsticles that I know of that are electric, one is the Electric Eel and the other is the gauntlet at the end, both have cables coming down from a wooden frame, the Electric Eel you have to crawl through army style on your stomach and they choose when to turn on the power so you gotta be quick! and the other…
  • Cant remember ever, but my most recent and last one was after the Edinburgh Half Marathon when I'd completed it, over a period of about 4 hours I consumed 1 share pack of jelly tots, 1 share packet of jelly babies, 1 eat natural bar, a hand full of pistachio nuts, a coffee, then when I got home we got an indian curry, mine…
  • Thanks Pearsquared! That's how I felt about my situation, it felt like a math equation, and I'm not good at maths hahah!! Thanks for the tips! I shall keep them in mind :) Gx
  • Thanks very much! Yeah I've sort of taken the bull by the horns as such and just gotten right into it, and now if I dont do exercise (like today, I'm banned from the gym till sunday) I feel cranky as hell! Thank you for the advice I will check that out! :)
  • My other half is doing this in August this year, he's really excited about it but a bit nervous as he's a big (height wise and also shoulder wise) and he is worried about getting stuck in the tubes. Everything else for him will be fine though lol! I'm not brave enough to do it, but because its my gym that is running his…
  • Yeah! Very true every region over here does have its own dialect, the highlands and Aberdonians are in a world of their own, closely followed by dundonians (Dundee) then the weedgies (Glaswegian) then comes my lot hehe as we are Fifeian lol as we fondly call ourselves we have a mash of a dialect but i think it's the…
  • Also seen on here someone liked the Glasgow accent....may I ask why? It drives me nuts (not in a good way) and I live about 2 hours away from the place. But then again, I have the East accent...which is a mash of "the hell is she saying" when I speak to someone south of the border :) But i'm certainly easier to understand…
  • I'm Scottish so cant really say I find our accent -that- appealling! Also being told that people cant understand you a lot haha! But I can listen to the Irish accent all day every day!
  • Hi! Well done on taking up the program! In regards to running, the best advice I was given was don't run back to back. In other words, if you are doing C25K one day and running with it, don't run the next day, it gives your legs the chance to rest. Rest is always a good thing when you are taking up running. I over-trained…
  • Hey! I'm a plodder/jogger/runner not quite sure where I fit in there but I'm in there! My goal for this year is in the next 8 weeks to do the Edinburgh Half Marathon in under my time last year (albeit it wasnt the Edinburgh one I done last year it was Dundee but still!) So I have a bit of a time to go, the problem is with…
  • I had all of mine taken out in November, I was terrified about it, all of them in one go, apart from feeling like the godfather with puffed out cheeks the pain wasnt too bad but make sure you have extra strength paracetamol, they gave me cocodamol and it made me sick, Food wise...eggs...eggs and more eggs....soup and soft…
  • I'd love to have someone like you in my corner cheering me on! You sound awesome so feel free to friend me :D
  • I picked up a Polar FT4, for me in the UK it was about £69.99. A lot of my instructors at the gym have this model and swear by it. It doesn't have an armband but it does have calories burned, it's a chest strap that I use. It doesn't require you to subscribe to anything as it keeps your last 10 training files on the watch.…
  • Thanks for the responses! I think I will either erturn the scales or hide them somewhere I never see them again, and as you say just use the gym ones once a week. That's what my OH is going to do as well, he said for me not to beat myself up about it but it is a shock when you think your doing well. Thanks again for…
  • Hi there and welcome to MFP! :D I join you on the million excuses part, I've been using MFP for on and off a few months now, I lost about a stone before starting to use MFP but I find it helps to have some people to spur you on and sometimes, just someone to talk to. I'll be your friend! *hug* I'm a 26 year old Scottish…
  • Didnt do too well on the Zumba challenge last week, managed twice, but not three times, a bit gutted but will try better this week although I'm feeling like I'm getting a cold I will continue to try, will get back on the wagon tomorrow as i'm working till 8pm tonight

  • Well done an hour and a half of Zumba yesterday! Done Zumba Cardio Party and Zumba Tone (with the sticks). Really enjoyed it, although knackered today, off to Body Attack tonight though so no Zumba for me tonight! Will get back on it tomorrow :)
  • I do both. Have the game for the Kinect and also go to a class and also have the DVD's so does that count as three? I feel that by doing the Game and DVD's it makes it easier in the class, but there is an atmosphere in the class that you dont get at home but it depends, I really like doing things at home, but that's just…
  • I'm in for the challenge if it's still ok to join. I'm unable to do the measurements at the moment but I have the Zumba DVD's ( the newish ones but not Exhilerate). I'll start it off that I done Zumba Live! which is 55 minutes on the Zumba DVD, before coming to work! :)
  • I played on Aggrammar on Alliance for a year and a bit For the last two years I've been on Draenor and Horde - Shadow Priest and many more lol! I'm also a console geek, I have a PS3 thanks to the hubby and Xbox 360 which is my second one, Noodle my original went to the 360 red ring of death scrapheap due to my other half…
  • I never blame WoW for the fact that my other half wants to raid all the time, It is his problem but we both play the game, I just know when to stop, he doesnt really lol!! But he gets a swift kick to the ankle and that keeps him in check, nah joking but he does play it alot and I know it's his choice. He just gets into…
  • I recently bought the zumba fitness dvds I've been doing the odd class here and there for a year but I relented and bought the dvd set, so far I reckon that it is quite good and gets my heart pumping fast and sweating to the point of mopping the floor after me, what I don't like is I can't do the samba no matter how hard I…
