My wife and I were the recipient of one of those random acts of kindness in the exact way you describe. We ordered breakfast one day at a McDonalds drive through and when we went to pay, the employee handed us a note from the previous customer saying he was from a local church and he paid for our meal. I promised myself to…

There is definitely a stigma to the word fat and not using it around children is understandable. I get that. But why is it that adults have a difficult time using it to describe themselves. Is it denial? Does that word carry such a huge negative connotation that it can't be used. I don't think so and that is why I can use…

I understand the anonimity thing. My Facebook has a fake name and an email account that I never use. But MFP feels a little safer so I posted a photo and filled out the profile.

I have a faithful true love now - my wife of 35 years. A little wealth would be nice but I am happy where I am at. 'Love is all you need'

If I fart at work and it's a bad one, I do the 'fart and blow the joint" - I get up and leave the area. Although lately with my new-found revised diet, I don't fart much anymore.

Thyroid - my daughter had the same issues.

I bought a few Mega Millions tickets. The prize is up to a half a BILLION $$$. Never won anything meaningful. I would pay off my relatives debts (so they could get in debt again), invest, travel, buy classic cars, quit my job, do volunteer work and help random less-fortunate people.

One of my last acts of gluttony before I started on this website was to eat an entire box of thin mints. I love those things. I have been lightly snacking on Peppermint Patties lately to get my mint flavor fix.

Good point. I didn't consider it from that point of view. So is it possible that women think of this term as offensive more than men do?

Today I learned (I knew this but it was just reinforced) that here is no speed limit when it comes to a motivated learner. “the standard pace is for chumps” - that the system is designed so anyone can keep up. If you're more driven than “just anyone” - you can do so much more than anyone expects. And this applies to ALL of…

At 5'3", a weight of 130 lbs puts you in the high range of normal. That sound like a good target. You may want to chose 140 as in intermediate target. For me to be in the high end of normal for my height, I need to be 194. But my intermediate target is 210. This still puts me in the overweight category but heading in the…

That seems like a low amount of calories for a day. And remember it's OK to go over once in a while. Enjoy the dinner tonight and start again tomorrow.

I would post a picture of Nicole Ritchie and Paris Hilton (2 boobs) but not sure how to post pictures. Or would it be any two of the Kardashian clan?

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and, with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him a super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.
