So inspirational!!! I want to be all of you when I grow down!

Congrats!

It's so rough because it's a double whammy. You get the empty calories from drinking and then compound it with eating things you normally wouldn't because you have more control. My brother has a band and when I join my sister-in-law to hear them play, I'll plan ahead. First, I start drinking water at least a half hour…

I too have questions about sparkling water versus regular water. I thought this short but succint article (http://www.ehow.com/about_5100595_sparkling-water-vs-regular-water.html) gave some good advice.

You guys gave me some great suggestions, thanks to all of you! I think what I was looking for was there, in part, in each response. I get too focused on how I'm doing it rather than the fact that I'm doing it at all. And I think that's the point. And I guess it's one of those things that is too individualized for anyone to…

I've got Jillian's. I'm gonna try that as well as a few other things. Thanks for your thoughts.

Bumped for one more try at a response. Maybe my question is to general?

Magnificent! Congrats!!

That is freaking remarkable to see!! You can literally see your body change in those photos. Very inspirational. Thanks for sharing!

I love hummus so much! I roast red pepper flakes then add olive oil to it. I will top my hummus with a tsp. of that. Sometimes I'll also sprinkle a tsp or pine nuts over the top too. Yum!

Neither praise nor criticism has made or broke me. But I can tell you that criticism has made the job a lot more difficult, when I knew I'd done my very best. And praise made the job just a little easier no matter how I'd done. This whole thing...fitness, nutrition, a new lifestyle, is so much about attitude and outlook…

Good post.

Almost a month ago, I began to get myself under control. I'd lost about 115 pounds five years ago. But in recent years, I gained back about 50. I saw that I was messing up and began to work hard. My first week in, I was telling my fiance how discouraged I was for letting myself gain what I did. In the course of the…

Lagniappe: something given or obtained gratuitously or by way of good measure. That is what I consider those "extra" burns. I don't count them. For instance, I work outdoors all day. Constantly in and out of my vehicle, walking sites, climbing stairs. I don't count that stuff, but it gives me a good feeling to know that…

That's why I put together my own gym. No waiting and cleaner. Though I do miss watching all the beautiful bodies. :)

One of my favs right now is Lucky Strike, by Maroon 5.

OOrah! The attitude, Marine! ...and thank you for your service!

LOL! Thanks for sounding off. I swear, it's such a habit, I don't know if I could break it. :)

Oh, I couldn't agree more! Water, water, water! It made a BIG difference for me.

Woah....abs....but I don't think "cute" is the word. Impressive.
-
^Very pretty eyes and skin!

ANYTHING is better than doing nothing at all. But what you were doing...making those little tweaks and changes...is just exactly the way to get where you want to be. You can't perfect everything at once. I want to be able to run five miles in one stretch. Do you think I can go out there and just do it? Nope. I have to…

It's gotta come from you. Only you can change it. Dig deep and get in the game!

I can so relate. I was so uncomforable, I started to gain back. I'm having to get a handle on things all over again. I was so miserable when I was really big, and yet it was familar and safe to me. Losing weight is so much more than just the battle to get the numbers on the scale down. It can really do a number on you…

Simply amazing! *applause*:flowerforyou:

Check your numbers, I doubt this has done much damage. Just get back on track. Today is all that matters. And a little break keeps you fresh. You know, there is room in being healthy to have a little fun once and a while too. :drinker:

I wish I could erase all your "spare tire" drawings on your picture. You look fantastic. You've worked hard. Don't take ANYTHING away from your accomplishment. Stand tall and stand proud!! Congrats!

Prime example of a person I'd rather not encounter.

I don't worry about people who don't log in. They aren't hurting anything on my friend's list. And I know it took me the better part of a year to get serious and now that I have, I need all the support I can get. But I do delete people who seem to be trolls or *kitten*. This one person wrote to me about how she needed help…
