And left the pan on the burner and forgot about it. It was there probably 20 minutes. The water is gone, the pan looks burnt and it's making a weird popping sound?

the popping is probably from the metal of the pan cooling. Ive done similar and never found a way to clean it...not completely anyway. I threw mine away0
