I take rest days, but still do mild cardio, gotta walk the dog. I feel better and refreshed, without 1 I get sluggish and bored.

I suggest checking with your doctor. It could be as simple as tendonitis. The Doc can help you manage the inflamation. I don't count my Coffee, but I do count my tea, I drink both w/o sugar. My green tea is just the tea and water (decaf). I don't count Milk or my 4oz of Grape juice in the morning.
