Same problem here - it's very frustrating - I'm having to buy a size bigger than I really need, just cos of the roll round the middle! I'm starting to think lipo is the only answer, they can do it with local anaesthetic these days.

Some of these stories are just shocking - it makes me want to go and beat a few people up! I sure hope they got their just desserts. As for weight gain - for me it was menopause (+ chronic health probs at the time which meant watching the lbs was the last thing on my mind). You need about 1/3 less cals once you're…

Is it possible part the reason he's asking for the cr*p because it's cheap?

Nice post & has given me a boot up the backside this morning :) Love the outfit btw

I thought there were vits and mins in fruit that help your body digest their sugars better, causing less probs than eating sugar w/out those extra nutrients.

I lose at about 2lb a month.. if I'm lucky! I really don't know what to do about it either apart from making myself so hungry I can't move, I have done that a few times and it's really really miserable, plus you can't keep it up long term anyway. So I just plod on. However I never had this prob til I hit menopause so I'm…

Ah OK 2nd time lucky! Use a site like Photobucket, copy the URL link, paste here onto your message, then add at the end of the URL... BUT do the "img" in small case not large case. I've had to do them in large case here or they screw up the message (cos it's some sort of programming shorthand)

LOLOL ..

ha! I wondered if they had... Still, great job you - maybe they'll do another when you get all the way, get some wedding pictures! it'll be quite an amazing story :drinker:

I can see it fine! Maybe it's one of those things that come and go. You can also get to it from a heading down the page here http://www.burtonmail.co.uk/News/ Nice work man ...! (But you didn't mention MFP?)

You seem to have layers on, like a blouse under a sweater? So hard to tell. I would say you don't need to lose more than another 10lbs or so, but agree with the others - wait til you get there and re-assess.
-
You DO look amazing! what a great post! I have a big smile all over my face now

DITTO!! It seems I'm going to have to get skinnier than I'd like, just to get my waist down to a reasonable size. I swear if I didn't have allergies to chems I would seriously have it liposuctioned off. :frown: The rest of me is behaving - it's just this damn spare tyre!

If you're working out pretty hard, I would definitely check measurements as well as weight. I have put on lbs and lost inches at the same time before now. Also after a fairly tough workout apparently your bod gets 'pumped up' and holds onto water for a bit until it's recovered.

The last of my 3 left properly 6 years ago, but they are ALWAYS back for weekends, Christmas etc, bringing in tow, partners, dogs, (and very soon a grand daughter). They never *really* leave - when they're not backwards and forwards they're emailing or phoning. But I am loving my freedom too! Have some *you* time! Take up…

I've had hyposis for insomnia and it worked a treat, so yes I'd definitely give it a go if I could afford it, & especially since your place has good reviews - the key is to find someone that really knows what they're doing, & has not just been on a 2-week course. My guy was a qualified MD who had been trained in hypnosis…

Yes I have had the same problems. I'd agree with everything said here - exercise too close to bed time will do that. Also I have to have something with carbs and milk just before bed or I wake up hungry at 4am and can't get back to sleep, so I'll eat wholewheat cereal with milk & a little chopped banana. And surprisingly…

Underneath your apparent gain I will lay a very large bet you have lost weight. You're just carrying a bit of extra water for whatever reason, but the serious stuff - the solid stuff that takes real effort to lose, you will have lost that. Scales are only the vaguest measure of what's going on in your body, I won't…

Actually both ends - glasses and shoes! :))

Exercise - if you're not already - might up your metabolism; also might want to check your ferritin levels (stored iron). I was always cold even when I wasn't on a diet, and found out (while testing for something else) my ferritin was almost at zero. I took iron supplements (Solgar Gentle Iron) for about 3 months and…

ugh that last sentence came out gobbledegook, I had my daughter call just as I was about to finish up :os What I meant was " it's do-able, wouldn't be very many calories, and easy to heat if needed."

Oh lord y'all are making my hungry LOL... OK I usually have 2 Ryevita crispbread with Flora light spread, put low cal marmalade on one and tahini on the other. I have to have something thats almost instant, can be faffing about spending half an hour with breakfast prep. I don't mind for other meals but not breakfast, I'd…

Oh god that sounds good. I have to have one now

Find a store that sells a lot of bras and spend an afternoon trying on different types - makes a big difference what sort you hitch your girls up with as your shape changes
-
BTW I have not doubt at all I'll still be around here in November, so will get back to y'all and let you know the decision

Great replies everyone. thank you! :drinker: I have passed them all on! Boomstick, that did vaguely occur to me, I just wasn't sure whether the kids would really do that... it's been a while since I was at High School

Every time I think about getting a dog someone comes up with a story like this! hmmmmmm!

Yup, I'm at the top end of my BMI range and I want to be near the bottom end (which is where I've been most of my life). FYI it really isn't unusual to not be able to lose more than 1lb a week when you're struggling with the last 10lbs - actually it can get to the point where you feel grateful if you're managing to lose…

And read around the site - there's some terrific posts here, as well as a lot of fun to be had! :flowerforyou:
