Lmfao. None of it is true.

No, this sounds horrible and even if you do lose ten pounds it will be water weight and will woosh right back on once you start eating normally. In fact, you'll probably start bingeing on all the foods you restricted once the diet is over and actually end up gaining weight. Don't do this. Just eat at a sensible,…

Your fat is fine. Your protein seems unnecessarily high to me. If anything, I would go with slightly lower protein intake and slightly higher fat intake considering how low your carbs are
-
I'm sorry, but are you serious? Is this a serious thread? I can't stop laughing.

That's great that you're able to do that, but it seems like you think the desire to binge only occurs when someone is depriving themselves, and that's just not true at all. I've never starved myself, my calorie goal is 1800, i don't have a restrictive diet, but i binge at least three times a month. I'm sure that most of…

binge days can hit anywhere from 3,000 to 7,000 calories for me

hair thinning is actually a fairly common side effect of significant weight loss. sometimes there is no underlying issue beyond that. i used to have extremely thick hair when i was obese but as i lost weight my hair started falling out more and more to the point where i was really freaking out. and i was eating very…

i take prenatals too! the rainbow light brand. it has biotin in it. i also take biotin on its own in addition every other day. it works AMAZING. my hair and nails are finally getting back to normal

i overeat (go waaay over my calories) at least once a week. just look at your calorie average on a weekly scale rather than daily. if it averages out to your goal at the end of the week it doesn't really matter if one day you were really hungry and ate 3000 calories and maybe another day you just weren't hungry at all and…

Yep. I eat my biggest meal before bed. Just plan for it in your daily calories. Check out intermittent fasting.

flaxseed has almost no net carbs and is pretty yummy on salads

start weight 240 second start weight 217 current weight 167ish? goal weight 150 I'm 5'7, 23, and I work out 5x a week, alternating cardio and strength and I'm eating around 2000 and losing 1.5-2 pounds a week

217 and 157 have been my two big "set points." When i was heavier my body just naturally liked to stay around 217 and wouldn't budge unless i made a conscious effort. After I lost weight, I realized that I maintain 157 very easily for some reason. It was pretty annoying because 157 is on the high end of a normal BMI for my…

OP, you are amazing. Thank you for this.

ahahaha are you kidding me right now? i can't even breathe anymore

i'm crying, this thread is the best thing i have ever read

i was always overweight and i never plateaued.

I've attempted to quit on five separate occasions. Every time I stop counting, I gain weight. Last time I stopped counting for a month and gained FIFTEEN POUNDS. So yeah, I'm never going to stop counting because I can't do that and maintain my weight. If I could, I would.

Do you know your TDEE?
-
Just estimate. Even over-estimate, if you're so worried. i would just add another three hundred calories or so using the quick add calories option. Or don't eat a lot of them, just have one or two to make your mom happy, and then eat something else. Or just enjoy yourself and let yourself have one off day, it's not going…

I'm 5'7 and I have the same measurements when I'm around 147 (I'm 154ish right now)! Do both of you do a lot of strength training?

I wash the outside layer, but that's it

Jennifer Lawrence we have a similar body type and we're the same height :)

I log every day. I'll send you a friend request.

It's great that semi-starving yourself allows you to feel superior to those of us with higher calorie goals, but what on earth is wrong with maintaining a calorie deficit WHILE stuffing your face? Do you not like food? How sad for you.
-
I lost weight through a calorie deficit. I do like jogging/running and it does help me get to that deficit, but so would any equivalent amount of exercise?

bump because i need motivation to do squats again too

LMAO, I'm not a "closet" anything. I do IF so you're correct in assuming that I don't eat "regular daytime meals." I don't eat my first meal until 3 or 4 pm generally, so yes, if I don't have a nice huge meal before bed, I feel deprived and will probably binge. I could ask the same thing of people who eat all day. Why do…

No idea. I don't have an HRM or anything like that. I don't worry about how many calories I burn. I don't have a car and I walk or bike everywhere so I get an hour or two of light activity a day, and lately I've been trying to do 30-45 minutes of actual get-your-heart-rate up exercise five times a week. I do…

MFP's preset recommendations are ridiculously low. my settings are: 1800 calories per day 180 g carbs 135 g protein 60 g fat i don't worry about sodium or saturated fats or anything else. sometimes I go under the limit, sometimes over but I do average out at about 1800/day according to MFP, this should have me losing .1…
