I get pretty close most days... I add pea protein powder to all dips, soups and spreads Vega brand protein smoothies Do you do soy? Edamame, tempeh, tofu Lentils, black beans, hemp seeds... Can you have gluten? Seitan (I love Primal jerky in the Thai peanut) Oh yeah! Peanut butter! Sprouted grain and hemp breads have high…

How about some dried fruit like cranberries or mango? (instead of jelly beans :) Still very sweet, but at least have some nutritional value. When I want chocolate, I fill a medjool date with raw cacao nibs when I take out the pit. Yum!

Sounds smart! Not silly :) I'm going to try this too, because there are supposedly benefits to spending some time upside down. Also, I do pull ups with an assistance band (lifeline revolution) it's great!

Ask yourself what you wanted or expected her to say. Consider how she could BE that would be most supportive and loving for your journey....and then, without making her wrong (because what she said is her way of loving you) make a powerful request for how she could react in the future that will best serve you (both) Ps. If…

There's lots of fancy tricks with dehydration and blending to create everything from crepes to sushi rolls to tacos, but I find the best way to be raw is to be as simple as possible. Fruit, salads, nuts, seeds, sprouts, salads, fruit, repeat. One great trick i have is to marinate broccoli. I hate raw broccoli but if I cut…

Ooooo, yes! My feet will love! And probably not bruise ;) Thanks!

Thanks for replying! Do you actually hit pause and spend more time on it like Tony recommends?

I'm vegan, and every once in a while I will go raw for a while (a few weeks to a few months). I personally think I do better with some cooked foods, but I used to work in a raw restaurant and have seen many people heal themselves and thrive on a raw food diet. I don't know anyone with hashimoto, though. Can you be more…

I am 5'1" and 103 lbs (and it is hard! Thank you for saying!) I am an xxsmall petite on top with a more curvy bottom half and have been struggling to accept, dress, and transform my body for over 20 years. In just the last weeks I've made some changes in my diet and exercise, and OMG! For the first time ever I'm seeing the…

I'm a huge fan of Now Pea Protein powder. It's not organic (boo) but I love the taste! I add it to soups, hummus, etc. there's also lots of sprouted rice protein powders but I think they tastes too chalky. Vega makes ones that are blends of hemp, rice and pea.

They're from The Voluptuous Vegan. it's one of my favorite cookbooks...it's organized as full festive meal plans, but I usually just do individual recipes and serve more casually and less...um, voluptuously ;) It's a great book for entertaining.

Vegan diary open to friends...but fair warning, I like to cook :)

Tofu-leek "quiche" with roasted shiitakes and African peanut stew. (and the usual big salad)

To the op, I highly recommend reading the book, the five love languages. It is sorta cheezy, but I think it would really help you.

I'm vegan, trying to get more fit too...feel free to add me

I am super tiny on top...narrow shoulders, small chest and waist, but I got booty. Ladies, finding a fabulous tailor has radically transformed my wardrobe and drastically improved my self image. Those gaps at the back of pants are such an easy fix. Moving the shoulders seams can be expensive but for the right blazer or…

Sounds like shin splints. Let them heal....and then it really helped me prevent them by keeping my legs warm when I run, as in no shorts! That's why dancers wear legwarmers. Hope that helps u too

Hummus and fresh unpasturized kraut or kim chee...cultured veggies are great! Super healthy, like 7 calories and bursting with flavor :)
-
How about eating those exercise calories with fresh veggies?! That can't hurt!

My man doesn't notice ANY of the physical changes I work so hard to create...It used to really hurt me, thinking he's not really paying attention. But the upside is, he doesn't notice my bad hair days, the dark circles under my eyes or wrinkles either. I think he sees my beauty no matter what I "look" like. I decided I…

Please don't take what she said personally...the message is about her relationship with her husband, and she sounds really insecure about his past girlfriends. She was just trying to make herself feel better.

I agree, but just because someone didn't grow up overweight doesn't automatically imply such advantages...

For some reason I find warm water much more appealing, especially first thing in the morning. Adding fresh lemon juice is nice, and sometimes adding stevia. How bout a nice warm "lemonade"? :) HERBAL tea counts.

You look so beautiful in your other dresses, especially that dress you bought for the wedding! In that dress we see YOU- a sexy, fit, confident woman! In the tube top dress, well, we see a woman trying to look sexy.... Which if your husband appreciates, just wear at home :)

For starters, I acknowledge you for reaching out for help...that takes courage! You are going to be ok. I understand being depressed. We all have days when we make "bad" choices....they do not diminish the value of your good days. I'm curious... does that profile picture you have make you feel inspired? Or does it make you…

Been vegan (and a chef) for years...and would be happy to be friends with any vegan or vegan-curious.

A very wise man I know always tells me, "what you think THEY think, is what YOU think!". Just sayin. And I'm so curious, have any of you who have been offended or hurt by your "skinner" friend's comments ever told THEM how you feel? How about acknowledging her insecurities, not making her wrong for having them or sharing…

I've been vegan for 7ish years and vegetarian for 16...i'm a certified natural chef (which means i got to stay home on chicken and fish days!) and worked as a raw vegan dessert "baker" for several years. Ive been doing p90x and p90x2, trying to build muscle...I've had some success, but decided to try tracking my food on…
