they are all too high in sugar IMHO, but my favorite is Organic Food Bar in Protein "flavor". at least it has more protein than sugar and mostly raw ingredients/no soy.

I do this but I consider one serving/100g. that way I'm eating 1-3 servings instead of 100!

a serving of unflavored pea protein powder with a little water, mashed with half a banana makes a delicious, high protein, sweet breakfast hummus that is perfect to spread/pile on toast. add green powder for bonus nutrition points or almond butter for healthy fat!

people don't agree because every BODY is different... and different things work better for different people. some people thrive on 80% sugar. I know I wouldn't! if you do well on 30% fats, as many do... than do that!

i find it ironic that "regular" peanut butter often has palm oil, sweeteners and preservatives. and "fitness pals" are too lazy to stir the natural.

you have a bag of nutritional yeast in your purse.

super easy and yummy everyday salad: 5-6 oz lettuce greens, 1 Tbl lemon juice (or more to taste), 1 Tbl nutritional yeast, I/2 avocado, cubed, sprinkle salt.

I don't love the taste of vega either, but stirred into oatmeal and fruit is pretty good

Organic Food Bar-protein "flavor" is my fave. at 22g of pro/18g of sugar... it's one of the best out there IMHO.

I agree with you too. my original comment was in response to the various vegan police who said "....you can't call yourself vegan..." I'm sorry I didn't quote them originally, and perhaps save us some confusion.

there are problems with your reply as well... a super strict, judgmental neat person could very well consider the sock on the floor unethical. (haha :o) seriously though, the choices we all make and where we draw the line at cruelty is highly subjective as well. most vegans won't eat honey, but a very strong argument can…

if you call yourself a neat person but you accidentally (or purposely) leave your house one day with a sock on the floor, are you no longer allowed to call yourself a neat person?!

I use the LifeLine Revolution band. and doing negatives (letting yourself down really slowly) it had me doing un-assisted pull-ups in a few months. I'm up to 5 consecutive now :o) you can do it!!!!

I can't believe anyone would serve untasted food... when I baked for a living I would taste everything! and then spit out as much as I could. (in the compost bucket I had right at my feet) although eventually I tired of my life revolving around sweets, I wasn't as healthy as I wanted to be and I changed careers. but I…

Definitely the pink. unless you're in Florida. and over 65.

potassium is pretty easy...its just not on alot of the nutrition info people plug in. avocados, bananas, beet greens, and beans will get you up there. and for calcium...a great way to be sure you're getting enough is to drink nettle tea. you won't have exact numbers but it is really high in calcium and a ton of other…

I make a recovery beverage from Thrive fitness book....4:1 ratio of carbs:protein is the mostly agreed upon trend and it has been serving me really well

and i suppose people defending their addictions to unhealthy food aren't biased?!

ok for weight loss? maybe. ok for health? if your definition of OK is for short term...maybe. if you'd like to include long term health and vitality, than no. not OK. frying is one of the worst ways to prepare food, creating toxins that eventually cause cancer and heart disease. and iceberg lettuce has almost no…

I'm a strong, healthy vegan...and about 25% of my calories is protein. I eat (some sprouted) whole grains, beans, lentils, tofu, tempeh, seitan, vega protein smoothies, pea, hemp and sprouted rice protein powders, protein bars like Organic Food Bar- protein, nuts, seeds, quinoa and a ton of kale and other veggies. major…

ive tried a ridiculous number of recipes...and I know ppk is very well respected but I will never follow a pancake recipe with flax seeds ever again. you might get lucky with a few decent batches, but IMHO they always eventually lead to problems and they are not even necessary (and they are better off un-heated.) i have…
