  • Swiftwick running socks are the best! I have like 5 or 6 pairs of them and have never had a problem. My feet get hot very easily so this is what the running store had recommended and I love them.
  • I sometimes get nauseous when I do certain workouts and my trainer says nausea and dizziness are sometimes due to holding your breath while you are doing a certain workout....keep an eye on that especially since you have asthma I would think that would make a big difference.
  • Wtg! That is a huge NSV....I'm the same way (still am unfortunately), if I take it I must eat the whole thing so generally I try not to take the piece of cake, cookie etc...especially things that have sugar in them since I would want more.
  • Nice........just wondering if your clean eating is so great why are you still overweight? I eat ice cream every evening with my dinner and I'm about to have a bag of chips in a few minutes as my afternoon snack. I'm not overweight and I workout/run 3-4 days a week and eat a ton of fruits and veggies ....everything in…
  • I also work full time and have a 3, 10 and 12 year old and I am not a morning person so I can't get up any earlier than I do already but if you are you could consider getting up at 4:30 or 5 am and doing some sort of workout either at home or away. I run 3x's a week generally (sometimes 4 if there is time) and do 2 workout…
  • Oh no....I buy berries there every week :( edit: It seems that these are the frozen kind not fresh.
  • How about cute new shoes/sandals, manicure and/or pedicure or even a facial is nice. Depending on what your workouts are maybe a new piece of workout equipment or new workout clothes....that's generally what I bought as a reward. Good luck on reaching your goals!
  • Now that it's warmer I wear shorts with built in liners...but with capri's I picked up some wickaway underwear at Target in their exercise department (it was a 2 pack for $12 or 14) and I've worn them a couple of times and they are pretty comfortable.
  • I'm Jodi I live in the North Hills area I am pretty much at my goal weight (maybe 5 more pounds) but I really want to get fit and toned. I am training for a 5K that is coming up in a few weeks and possibly a 10K in October. I don't have a lot of time for other activities (I have 3 kids and they keep me pretty busy) but if…

  • I have 3 kids and I feed them all the same food. One of my kids is slightly overweight and one is slightly underweight. The underweight one has been sneaking food into his room and eating at night go figure. The slightly overweight one has been eating double lunches at school and I do understand why (he does not sneak food…
  • Wow you look amazing for someone half your age...I am working on increasing my lifting also and you are an inspiration.
  • No wonder I can't even find a neutral color running tank top....they probably make them bright for that reason....glad to hear you weren't hurt. I've been running outside more lately too and it makes me pretty nervous when I am running on the side of the road since people don't pay attention and could swerve.
  • I had a similar situation with my first child....I had 2 cats at the time, one was fine with my son the other one was not and I ended up taking him to a no kill shelter....generally they have insanely long waiting lists but I gave them $ to buy another cage and they took him. I would wait on getting another kitten when…
  • I recently downloaded the Nike+ app and I'm not sure if the calorie burn was acurate ( I forgot to wear my heart rate monitor that day) but it kept track of my time and distance really nicely...at each mile it tells you that you ran a mile and the average pace....I had tried using Runkeeper in the past and had trouble with…
  • Unfortunately most testing can only be done after the baby is conceived and I think the first test they are able to administer is at 12 weeks unless that has changed in the last 3 years. I also have neighbors in their late 60's that have children (by adoption) the same age as my older kids and it's a struggle for them…
  • Wow 5'10" for an 11 year old girl is pretty tall. My 12 year old son is 5' 1 1/2" and I am 4' 11 1/2" so he thinks it's hilarious that he is taller than me.
  • You can add me...I'm planning on a 5k in May also....haven't signed up yet though.....
  • I got a heart rate monitor for $40 or $50 at Costo....btw I get a headache when I run if my heart rate gets too high so it was a great investment...if I see that my heart rate is getting too high I slow down.
  • We have one and the kids use it on occasion...I won't buy them regular pop so this is slightly better....you can make selter water too with it so that's nice...I haven't tried it yet and we have had it for a while now....bought one for the in-laws for Christmas too but I'm not sure if they have tried it yet or not.
  • I know my husband would rather get pictures (I would never do it though) and he's a gamer.
  • I usually either take my 2 year old with me to the daycare at the gym or have my dh or older kids watch her and I will workout in the other room. She has also done some videos with me...usually I don't get as good of a workout when that happens but it's still better than not at all. Can you do anything during your lunch?…
  • This was in a movie recently, can't remember which one but a bunch of guys were in the pool and the water around them turned blue...pretty funny.
  • My brother convinced me once that my mom needed me to bring her a pair of my pantyhose...I thought she was making cheese or yogurt or something like that (which she never made before)...it was pretty stupid but I believed him. He always used to pull stupid tricks on me when we were kids and I always fell for them.
  • I have never read her book but I was getting her emails and reading her blogs a little. Personally I think she is strange and I'm not crazy about some of her ideas. I know there are a lot of people who are vegan or vegetarians on here and they may have more insight into her ideas....the smoothy sounds good but otherwise I…
  • Love those....I usually eat 1 or 2 squares of Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt....I think each square equals to 48 calories and you generally don't need more than 2.
  • I had mine done when I was 3...I had really wanted them because my aunt had hers pierced. My mom didn't want me to get it done (she's 60 and doesn't have them). My grandmother was a nurse and pierced them with a needle...don't remember it. When I went to school they wouldn't let me wear them so they healed up. We came to…
  • Have a beer (even non alcoholic is supposed to help I think)....I had a lot of milk with my third kid but did drink a beer with my other 2 and it helped.....there is some tea out there that is supposed to help but I found it gross....good luck!
  • I have an android phone and found it...sounds like a good app. Thanks!
