Try googling bodyweight exercises and circuits, and add in a plyometric move here and there. You'd be amazed what you can do with little equipment! Maybe also consider investing in a resistance band, they're super versatile & you can anchor them around a door with an attachment.

If you can anchor your feet and use them to push without pain, not taking impact, you should try the row machine. It works your upper body and is fantastic cardio!

Awesome - makes sense. Thank you for the reply! I'll try some aminos next time, and walking more between sets.

5'3", 120 lbs and my max squat is 120 lbs. However, I rarely squat my max. A typical squat sessions is 3 sets of 10-12 reps at 60-70 lbs, and I prefer barbell over Smith machine by far. Unfortunately I usually get light-headed squatting, which is a little off topic, but does anyone have any tips on getting over that? I…

It affected mine! My (ex) boyfriend was never really very forthcoming of his emotional support of me - especially once I started training for my first half marathon. He started with the underhanded insults and came across like he was waiting for me to fail miserably. I had self confidence issues, and we had been together…

My best friend moved away the summer after 7th grade, and we were both 13. It was heart wrenching and I still remember the moment she broke the news they would be moving four hours away. Then, we went to college 13 hours apart. Now we live across the country from one another. Thankfully, our friendship was true and we…

We have a opening for 14 more members. If interested list your name below. Please quote the previous post when you add your…

I think everyone takes Facebook entirely too seriously. I'm sure we're all guilty of venting on it or posting something we've regretted - I know I have. If you can't see someone for who they are in "real life" and judge them solely by what they post on a status update, maybe it's time re-evaluate the "friendship"! Or, you…

That's awesome! Congrats :D

Don't change anything about your routine - treat it as a regular run and try to enjoy the experience (& rush of adrenaline!). You'll be setting the bar for yourself on your first 5k. Remember to run your own race at your own pace and don't get discouraged. At my first race, I started towards the back of the pack. There is…

Bump - will be trying these soon!

Just bought some quinoa myself .. definitely some great sounding recipes I will have to try! Thank you :D

Before you shell out too much money I would definitely recommend wrapping a clean, cotton towel around your pillow to sleep on. It sounds too simple and good to be true but it did wonders for my acne! On the second night I flip it over to the clean side and then replace it with a clean towel the next day. I also have had…

Never heard of this before.. I'll be looking into it, thank you!
