I definitely link mine. In fact, after over a year on MFP, it is only the only way I track my exercise. The FitBit records my steps, as my exercise is mostly walking and bicycling. It counts my steps/calories and automatically calculates the number of calories I am allowed that day. Works perfectly. It doesn't nag, but you…

I like this strategy. I have to try this. Thanks!

Yep. Me. I love walking. It is my spiritual retreat. I can't live without it. I consider that a good thing.

Very good, excellent, in fact. Thanks for posting.

Don't do it. When I was really large (still overweight) I cringed inwardly when people commented either way about my exercising. Just leave me alone, I would think, treat me like everyone else. They don't want to hear it.

Now that's telling him!

This is a joke, right? You've got to be kidding. If anything happens to that girl, this post becomes evidence. But, please, say you're kidding. Please.

I actually enjoy lifting, when I do it consistently. I get stronger and feel better and toned. Problem is, I find it harder to lose lbs. I don't know why. It just true, for me. Case in point...I was lifting consistently 2-3 times a week until about 6 or so weeks ago. I was at a plateau, weight wise. I was OK, though,…

I disagree. ALL activity counts as exercise. Anytime we are off the couch moving, it is exercise. I found that out when I started wearing the FitBit Flex 24/7. You would be surprised how many calories one could burn spending hours cooking a large Thanksgiving dinner. Yep, it's exercise. Find a way to count it.

I don't have any advice for you, not really. I can only share my own experience which was a surprise to me. I was exercising consistently 4-5 days a week...long walks, weight training, bicycling, treadmill, stairmaster, etc. I loved it. I felt good. But my weight loss was erratic, up down, up, down, up, up, down, plateau.…

Ditto.

No. You're not. If you were really giving up, you wouldn't have posted this. You're asking for help. I took a sneak peek at your diary. It looks like the way I used to eat. No balance; skipping meals; fast food; processed food. Change your diet, focus on a targeted exercise routine, not a volume exercise routine, and just…

Yes. Buy an Otter Box that comes with a clip on that you can clip to your waist band (front, back, or side). I always get an Otter Box, no matter what phone I have. I just helped a friend pick out one for her Samsung. They have them at Best Buy, Amazon, Office Depot, almost any electronics or electronics supply…

Peanut butter, in moderation, is an excellent source of protein and healthy fat. But only in moderation, like 1 serving (2 Tbl spoon) a day. Too bad it's s weakness for you.

Bottle of Sparkling Ice, Orange Mango flavor.

I don't think of it as "cheating". If it fits for that day and I want it, I have it. If it doesn't, usually I won't. If it is a special occasion, maybe I will have it and balance it out over the next few days. It's a life style for me, not a just goal. YTVP

I really, really like that idea. I think I have been doing a version of that in my head. I should start doing some pre-tracking.

Good for you. You recognized your tendency and avoided it. Excellent! Hope things get better for your husband and dad soon.

There is SOME truth to that. My personal focus is to make a life style change. I want to find a way to eat that I can continue for the rest of my life not for a limited time to lose weight. For that reason I include all my faves as I go along. However, I do try to eliminate unhealthy options like fast food, highly…

Remember, you have been exercising like a fiend and not eating enough. Your body is in likely in semi-starvation mode, holding on to try to weight to try to keep up with your expenditure. Your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) is probably quite high. That is just my guess and my opinion. You got a loss. That is really…

I use natural apple butter or maybe make your own apple butter or apple sauce. Or you can make a sauce from any of your favorite fruits, no sugar added. Of course, you will have the natural sugar in the fruit, but the calories are often 50 or less.

I live right on the Trinity Trail and love it! Thanks for the referrals to find out what's going on. I walk and bicycle every weekend and during the week time and weather permits.

You're not eating NEARLY enough and no where near enough protein for all that exercise. Have you tried this site: http://www.iifym.com? Maybe try calculating your own personal macros based on your sex/height/weight/exercise level to determine how many calories and nutrients (macros) you should be eating. I found it very…
