Thank you so much for sharing your story on the link you provided. Mine is not quite as bad as yours, but surgery has been mentioned to me, so it is good to read a success story that is recent. I hope you are still doing well.

yep, I did. I actually message one person. LOL Thanks for the thought.

Hi gjsmommy, I just learned about 10 years ago at age of 53, that I had a curve. I went in for my bone density test and the guy doing it said, "do you know your spine is curved"? I did not know that. So, in later years, because my spine is a mess from neck down, I was having an MRI and low and behold. Hey, you have…

Yummy 3 envelope roast Roast of any type package of Italian seasoning, package of ranch dip package brown gravy 2 cups of water. Mix all ingredients, brown the roast if you want to . hmm, interesting. I will have to try this. Thank you

It is hard to get back to the routine after down time. Just keep doing a little more each week and soon you will be back to where you want to be. Are you getting enough protein and good carbs for energy? Might check into that. Plus you might want to take Vitamin B12 if you are not already. Whatever you do DON'T GIVE UP.…

katiepeg, Kathy. Well, let me say, I am very disappointed that I was not invited to your pity party! How dare you have one all by yourself. LOL I too have those, but usually try and drag my family members to it. We all need pity parties once in awhile especially when it is hard to even move about! I hope your day is good.…

Hi Kathy, I know that feeling. I really need to get back to being good, but it is hard to do. If you like we can try to keep each other on track? I will send you a pal request.

Thank you so much for posting. I am now waiting referral to the University Hospital, see a Doc there and if he agrees with my Neurosurgeon here in my town, then I am going to do it. I am sick of this leg pain and as the Doc said on Wed when I saw him, he asked how old I was, I said 62 and he said, you are still young…

OH no, What is wrong with him? Oh never mind, I know, he is MALE. They do some of the most irritating things. LOL I am so sorry this happened. I think he owes you a trip to Goodwill, or any thrift store and he needs to pay. Hugs toadbaby

Thank you for the words on the spinal fusion. I am deciding to have it due to the discs slipping over one another and I just am sick of the pain in my leg. I have had a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that my spine can cause so much leg pain, but as my DO told me yesterday, when I stand up, I also put weight on…
-
MandaJean, thank you so much for this post. I am most likely going to have a fusion in the month or so and really need encouragement. Hope you are still doing good now.

That is wonderful. All your hard work has paid off. I am so very happy for you. Keep up the good job.

If you have lost the 8 pounds since Jan, that is pretty good. Slow wins the race in the long run. I has taken me 2 years to lose 40, but I am ok with that. I say as long as I am not gaining, I am still ahead of the race! You can do this, keep logging, being honest with yourself about the foods you are eating. If we cheat,…

I am really beginning to wonder if I had this at a younger age and it just went undetected? The first time I even heard I had a curve was about 10 years ago when I was having a dexascan for bone density. The guy doing the scan asked me if I knew I had a curve. So I just thought it was caused from the bad spine I have. I…

I think anything that makes us move is good. And it is different so might work other areas of the body? Good upper arm workout? Looks like you pull the handles and the seat goes up and down? If I looked at the right thing on google. LOL

Hi VickiDiane22. You are at the right place to do it. It can be such a slow journey, but it can be done. We have a 60's group also, where we have chat, and weekly challenge exercises. We took this week off from the challenges, because I am in charge of posting them and then wooken3 puts up graphics for us, but I was away…

I too love the elliptical. I can "jog" on it. LOL But it does get the heart rate up there. I too was shocked at what a difference was from the HRM to this site was when I got my HRM. Some are much lower than what it says, some way higher. I say start out little and increase each week, whatever you do. It can be done that…
