  • Wow! So many helpful responses, thank you! I really appreciate it, you've all given me something to consider and aspire to!
  • Just discovered almond milk and I LOVE it. I drink Silk, Organic, Unsweetened, Vanilla Almond Milk. I specifically drink it for the calcium it provides me, and I drink it plain, or I add protein powder, etc... to it. I'm going off dairy, I was allergic as a baby, then it was fine, and I think I'm finding that allergy…
  • Using the 2079 number it means your exercise cals have been added in. So, if you log them, don't eat them. You eat 1663 per day always. Hope that helps!
  • Check out "NerdFitness.com" it's one of my favorite sites for info on paleo and health in general. There's a great blog from one of the writers, Stacey, about how she went paleo, one step at a time. I'm doing the same, for example, this month, I stopped drinking milk, next month, I'm not eating dairy *except butter. Etc...…

Working out deepens that deficit. You shouldn't net less than 1200 calories in a day. Ex: You eat 1300- you burn 159 working out = 1141, eat…
  • I've been doing it this whole month, and after the initial water weight loss in the first 10 days I average about a pound a week. As in the morning of carb nite I'm down about a pound from the morning of the previous carb nite, then I'm back up most of the week. This month (if I don't count what I've seen on the scale…
  • Well... I'm not an expert, but I've read a lot and a lot on here, and everywhere. The thing is, your weight loss will slow down. Don't be afraid of it, it's part of the process. You've lost 26 pounds! That's amazing! Keep going, but make sure you're going at a pace you can live with, even when the last 26 pounds take 6…
  • I've been working on my weight loss nearly a month, and I do weigh myself everyday. Mostly because I've been really struggling to figure out how my change in hormones (thank you turning 30) is making difficult to lose weight. So, I've been trying to see how what kind of exercise I do, etc... effects my body regularly. Once…
  • Someone may have a better answer than me but I just take the average of my distance/time. I.E. If I do 2 miles in 30 minutes, that would be "brisk walking, 4 miles an hour," even though sometimes I'm going faster and sometimes I'm going slower. Hope that helps!
