LOL! reading through this post is soo funny. I live in a rural part of Ontario, Canada, and we have almost NO fast food chains, i cant recognize hardly any of the ones posted here. I always look forward to a rare trip into the US. Fast food is SO cheap, and the portions are HUGE!!! Its such a guilty pleasure for me! like…

what equipment do you need to do P90X? I've heard from some people that you dont need any, others say you need resistance bands, on the site it says you even need a pull-up bar? Im looking for a tough total body workout that doesnt require equipment, so that I can do it at home/travelling. P90X looks really promising…

haha i was immediately annoyed that you miss-spelled "there"

but its also important to remember that you didnt gain it all in a year, so don't be upset if you cant lose it all in one either
-
i think that is certainly an attainable goal, as i've seen a lot of people on MFP that have lost that, or sometimes even more, within a year. I imagine it will take a lot of committment but its been done by others, so its definitely worth a solid go!

i make breakfast my biggest meal- about 400 calories (that leaves about 300 for lunch, 300 for dinner, and 200 for snacks). I eat about 20g or protein at breakfast because it keeps me full throughout the day so I dont overeat later. A lot of studies have shown that breakfast should be the largest meal and its definitely…

the best trick that ive found is to eat a ton of protein at breakfast- sometimes about half my protein for the day. It keeps me full almost all day because it digests slower than carbs, so Im much less tempted to 'snack' or 'graze' or grab an impulse lunch. Later in the day if I know I'll be in one of my trigger situations…

you should read one of the books by Jim Karas. Hes a personal trainer with a bunch of credentials who's helped a lot of petite women lose weight. According to his advice/research petite women may only need 800-1200 calories per day. This makes perfect sense to me. Like others have said, calorie needs vary depending on…

sorry i just reread that you said you're kind of tired? in that case i would suggest eating some more calories, like the others suggest, and see if that helps after a couple days.

It depends on what ur starting weight is and your height. I read a book by one expert (Jim Karas, he has many credentials) and it said that many successful weight losers eat 800-1200 calories a day (this was for petite people, 5'4 and under). So i'd say that if your energy is good and you're eating healthy choices and…

are you getting enough of the other nutrients? i've found the trick for me is to make sure i eat enough protein, sometimes even more than i need. It keeps me fuller a lot longer, and then i dont crave/eat as many carbs. I also get most of my carbs from fruits/vegetables, and i've really cut back on potatos and grains…

haha! im from canada and i definitely bought a box of the mint ones last week in NY. I must have had 8 cookies that one day, but as soon as i got home from our roadtrip i shared the box with our whole family, so luckily it disappeared from my sight pretty quickly! so don't worry too much, you're not the only one! And i…

also if your first weight was taken later in the day it may have been artificially high...try to weigh yourself at the same time everyday (first thing in the morning is usually best) but otherwise congrats! like others said, its could also be water weight that you lose once you start eating healthier (less sodium, more…

yes according to MFP you do want to eat back those calories, because MFP already has you on a calorie deficit. this means that if you dont exercise, and just eat the amount you are supposed to, you will lose weight. so if you excercise AND only eat the same amount of calories, you will be providing your body with very…
