Okay - I don't like fat.....gives me the creeps, but lean bacon like center cut that is cooked right....OMG.....it's good. And it doesn't take much to really improve the flavor of vegetables!

I write this as I just at lunch....3 ounces of sea bass and 2 spears of asparagus. Lunch is a little late today because I did an extra long workout at the gym today. As a former 300 pounder for most of my life who thought that WLS was a cop out - "i can do this on my own!", I can honestly say that WLS has saved my life. It…

When did you have your sleeve done? I am also unable to speak from personal experience but I have heard from so many people that it is the best thing they have ever done. Yes, some say that they miss certain foods but that the benefit far outweighs any desire. I'm hoping this holds true for me as I'm scheduled to have my…

I agree - a 1700 calorie day is not horrible at all. I've had days that were 5000 calories - not that I'm proud of it. But you are on to something in that journaling is a great habit and one that will help you understand yourself and possibly identify patterns. I say kudos to you! And when/if you want to make changes, you…

They do have lighter menu options listed on the menu which is good. I would also recommend that you check out a site called Healthdiningfinder - http://www.healthydiningfinder.com/home. They have a ton of restaurants listed and show the best choices from a nutritional standpoint at each. I often refer to them and plan out…

Wow I never realized so many people did not like green tea! I'm a tea drinker and when I found green tea, I was in heaven - found it very mild and light. Have you tried drinking it cold? I like it best that way - I enjoy the flavored versions a lot too.

You are an inspiration and living proof that anything is possible. Thanks for sharing. I must remember this when I think that my goal is not reachable! I'd like to bottle your attitude!! Many blessings to you.

I agree with the previous post - a cheat meal once a week or so is good and I also like to be extra careful at the other meals for that day. I fear I would be on the path back to where I started if I did a whole cheat day. That said, I allow myself to have a small treat daily like two hershey kisses.

Just reading all of the comments may divert your attention long enough. Congrats to you for recognizing the craving, verbalizing and not just diving in. I am prone to dive in, binge and then say to heck with it and finish off the whole bag. Going to bed can help too.

My favorite breakfast is a yogurt parfait. I love, love love it. And I'm not talking about one from Starbucks. I eat this just about every day and it tastes great, gives me a a little protein, low sugar and energizes me. I use about a half cup of mixed berries, 6 ounces Dannon light and fit vanilla yogurt and 1/4 cup of…
