Great thanks for this. I completed the couch to 5k two weeks ago - I took a week off for me knees to recover and purchase some new running shoes. I'm gonna try this!

Really? You have proof of that?

^^^ what she said! Good for yo6 & well done.

QUOTED FOR TRUTH AND NOT BEING ABLE TO SAY IT BETTER MYSELF!!!!

yum yum, went there a few times when I lived in Belgium.

Howdy, I've gotta say I am thoroughly enjoying it. I've always wanted to be a runner, have tried the Couch to 5k progam lots of times and just not got passed week 3 due to lack of motivation. I start week 7 tomorrow. I'm 320lbs - when I've attempted this plan before I've been much lighter! I am really enjoying it. Don't…

thanks! I've got 10st to lose.

I thought that is what was meant, but I wanted your take on it.

Please explain ... thanks!

I get this. I find myself happy as larry when I've done exercise in a day, but miserable as heck on one exercise days because I feel like I just can't stick to 1200kCal. I admire anybody that can. May be as I get smaller (I've 150lbs to lose) I'll be able to control it more? I'm currently set at 1200kCal and I'm…

£120 regardless of classes and child membership is still expensive. Ask for a free taster session, then decide. You wouldn't get a discounted rate because it doesn't exist; you can't be a non member and get PT. Ask if he does or be willing to give you sessions outside of the gym and tell him you'll pay him £25 cash in…

Yep, your suspicion is correct, £57 is a rip off plain and simple. However so is your gym membership fee of £120. May be the reason ehy he/she has the audacity to ask £57 for an hour is because they think you've got loads of money since you already shell out £1440/year for use of the gym. £57/hr is like a salary of £72k…

15 mins is excellent. Build up slowly, but always promise yourself to do your very best

Hiya, Good re hills (were you referring to me? ). When I am doing the runs I know I can run faster and look less plodding, I know this because at the end of the run, if I still haven't reached home I do some short intervals where I 'run' properly, rather than plod like an oap lol  . Like I said before,…

Hello! Please don't think this is me being sharp, I just gotta address you and make sure I do it properly! I presume you're doing this: I'm over 320lbs in weight (I want to lose approximately 1/2 of my current weight!). My goal is to complete Couch-to-5k without repeating any of the runs / weeks. So far my determination…

I love the Daily Mail!!!!!! It's my 'go to' online newspaper. So entertaining (not in a good way) .. especially the reader comments. I'd NEVER date someone who admitted to actually buying it though! Then again, I'm not sure anyone who prescribed to the beliefs/ethos of the Daily Mail would want to date me! :drinker:…

Hi, I've recently come off the pill. The doctor took me off it. In the time I've been on it, I've gained 50lbs (I was on a high dose, not pregnancy protection related). My eating hasn't been significantly different yet I gained lots of weight. I've been bad, but not to the extent of gaining. I'm wondering if there is any…

I'm 320+ lbs. Today the wind is blowing, the rain is falling and it's cold outside. Today I started week 5 of Couch to 5K. I'm loving it so far and after many attempts to begin this programme this is the farthest I've ever got into the programme. I'm dreading getting to the 9th week because I'll be at a loss to what to do.…

Never heard of that. I do drink 10ml of cider vinegar in the morning (when I remember) but that is for joint care. 10ml registers as 1 calorie, so no real harm to my allowance. I also use the vinegar for washing my hair as I'm in a hard water area.
