Uh? I really only deal with litres, millilitres and centilitres. I have nothing that measures gallons or ounces, hence the unit specifics in my original question. Nevertheless thanks :-) I'll check my pee, weigh before and after exercise and aim for 2-4 litres per day. I think a I wanted to get around the ambiguity of…

Great reply, thanks. I drink during my work out ... though.

Thanks, I cant get my head around ounces... for liquid strange to me, i only deal in ounces weighing ingredients when baking cakes :-) Fluid ounces? My weight is 326 pounds, so thats 163 (fluid) ounces = 5 litres. That right? Are

Ah ... thank you! So about 2 litres. Thanks Anyone know how much they compensate their exercise with? Do you drink an extra litre?

Agreed. I am supposed to be visiting a friend today, so far all Ive done is showered. Clothes are dificult since none fit anymore. I feel huge and people stare. I want to remain in my room really. I am poor & jobless so professional help is a no no. My family aren't decent ..... I finally came to the conclusion last week.…

Hi, I mentioned this book in another thread: You Are Your Own Gym by Mark Lauren, it's a brilliant book with lots of exercises. I did them and they left me stiff as anything. I've bought the book twice as I was so bowled over by it I gave my first copy to my gym instructor friend. Disclaimer: I am just a fan of the book…

Oh goodness me. You look amazing. A million times, well done!
-
I am 328 lbs and intend to do 3 runs this week.
-
Does rain deter you? We've been having heavy rain and strong gales which have stopped me from starting. I'll be honest, being 328 lbs and fear of being honked/stared at (had in past when i was like 280lbs!) puts me off a little too, but then again going out in public looking the way i do does anyway! Promised myself I'll…

Hi all, What about shoe size? Has that changed?

Well done on losing 60 lbs, thats like over 4 Stones, amazing. Your ticker says 23 lbs lost? I was once told people start noticing at 3 stones lost. Whether 23 or 60lbs lost, you've done well. Who are you doing this for? Yourself, dont be disheartened about the lack of praise, you have us! As someone sensibly mentioned…

Any body here got that book 'You Are Your Own Gym'? Great book, very informative and lots of body weight exercises, only takes 21 mins pper day. I did legs and ended up walking like an injured cowboy for a few days!

Yup. Me, 168 pounds of those bad boys will be gone by next year. Daunting? Yes!! Doable? Hell YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stick to my calorie allowance and lift weight like it's going out of fashion.

Hi guys, Me again! Sorry... Any how I had a gruelling workout at the gym today, 1 hour just training my back (in lieu of training my legs becauee of painful knee). I triset various weight lifting exercises for my upper, mid and lower back. I trained so hard at one point I was light headed. Anyhow, my heart rate hit around…

I have Nike for the gym work cardio like cross trainer and static bike mainly. I still have my Brooks for running, but Ive gained lots of weight and was meant to go to the running shop to get checked out of another pair as i want to start running again and become a dedicated runner. I also have vibram five fingers which i…

you beat me to it. I wholeheartedly concur with this^. I got some Brooks which cost about the same. Specialist shops know what they're doing and their priority is to get the right shoe fitted and maintain their reputation. Bonne chance! X

http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/shoes/choosing-a-shoe-the-very-basics/481.html Hi there, When I started running a few years back, I went to a runners shop not a chain store (eg foot locker), to get properly fitted out for a running shoe. They put me on a special treadmill to see how I pronated. I was particularly keen to…

you're right, i don't get it. My daily calorie allowance is set at a deficit to lose, once i get to my desired weight (168), I up my daily intake to a level that sustains weight. Thats my understanding.
