  • I suffer from a lot of the symptoms and haven't received official diagnosis yet. Have been told I'm insulin-resistant and need to do a low-carb lifestyle change. I'm also working on cutting back dairy and gluten as these have an effect on hormones and symptoms too. :D Feel free to add me! We can do this!!

  • Not certain I have PCOS yet, waiting on follow up with Dr. but definitely insulin-resistant and suffer from many of the PCOS symptoms. I've found the blog at PCOSdietsupport.com to have a lot of useful information. Feel free to add me. :D
  • There are other posts on here with people complaining about it. Mine started with only a problem on calories consumed and has only gotten worse as the month has progressed. Now it's rarely syncing calories burned accurately, if at all. It's highly frustrating, especially since we have to pay a fee for BodyMedia! Make sure…
  • I emailed them when it first started happening. It's now been about a week and a half with no solution. At first it was just the food not syncing and now I'm having issues with my calorie burn not syncing at the end of the day...MFP is just going off of what I had synced earlier in the morning, which is almost 400 calories…
  • As others have mentioned, crate training is great for when you're not home. If your puppy bites you or tries nibbling on you, make a high pitched yelp-like sound and walk away. It will teach the pup, that biting makes you go away, and all they want is your love and attention so the biting should stop fairly quickly. For…
  • Oh wow. That sounds awful. I hope you are able to lower your pain, if not get rid of it completely. So happy for you for not giving in and giving up because of your accident and trying to turn it around. It's never too late to start. :)
  • Those are great reasons. And you do deserve to be happy and feel beautiful because you are! I have several reasons: My clothes stopped fitting and the ones that do "fit" make me look even bigger and rounder and feel sloppy. I'm getting married in December and want to look as great as I'm going to feel. I want to…
  • If you really want to and it'll make you feel better. Just be truly honest with yourself. Don't be ashamed by it and hide it - we all have those days. If you lie to yourself about it, it won't lead to anything better. Indulge, log it, and move on. I hope your day gets better. <3
  • Soup in a thermos? You can always make a big batch on Sunday and separate individual portions for the week.

  • You look amazing! Congratulations and best of look on the rest of your weight loss. Quick question: did you do all this with just diet change or what kind of workouts did you do?
  • Same boat - 100+ lbs to lose. Anyone feel free to add me :)
  • We did get our free initial consultation with a PT. I didn't see any real cancellation policy on the contract, other than for auto renewal (which wouldn't be for another year and a half) and for cases where you are medically unable to use the facilities or have moved away and a gym isn't close by. When we first signed up,…
  • I called the gym owner today and was told I couldn't cancel. She did start saying something about offering personal training...maybe a free session or deep discount? I'm going in to talk later this week. Something free would be nice.
  • I bought a huge water bottle from Walmart. It was inexpensive and holds a lot (I can't quite remember how many cups). I just make sure to sip on it throughout the day.
  • That's exactly why I hadn't called yet! Too many horror stories. :noway: The owner at my gym is really nice so hopefully it'll be painless. Also @ ortega1990, it really is a terrible practice.
  • I think they ask for proof if you're moving, and the closest has to be more than 20 mi. away?
  • Welcome! :) I'll add you and anyone else feel free to add me as well. :)
  • Women's shorts are a lot more difficult to find with pockets, so it may be more useful for women?
  • Feel free to add me. :)
  • I'm going to add you! At my heaviest (that I know of) I was 256.6. This was a few months ago. I have a long journey ahead of me to get to my goal weight of 130-ish. I've always been overweight/obese for my age and I'm working on changing that. I have more determination than ever before. We can all help each other.…
  • ^^^ This! Take it one day at a time. It may also help to only focus on one thing at a time. For example, work on adding exercise everyday like going walking. Then work on adding distance and/or time. Same thing with food: work on portion control, then work on adding fruits & veggies, etc. Basically it's building blocks and…
  • I'm on 60 days! This is the longest I've logged, but I'm actually seeing progress so I'm going to keep it up. (My food log is private for now, but I may change it) Feel free to add me. I'm nice, I promise.
  • So many pins!! Hahaha I totally get being organized on pinterest but not IRL. It happens lol

  • Like others have said, cooking your own food is probably one the best ways to reduce sodium. Try different spices and herbs to add flavor and then if you really feel it's missing some salt, just add a dash. Using lemons or limes also can help replace salt, or so I read somewhere. If you use pre-packaged items, try getting…
  • Wow! Great job! Just curious, are you following a specific program? I'd like to start strength training but there are so many routines online, it's overwhelming. I have no clue where to start. Any insight is helpful.
  • Same here, but my scale syncs with MFP automatically so as soon as I see the number going up I jump off haha (it's not lying to myself because it fluctuates, right?) Maybe I should pick a day to make it my "official" weigh in day.
  • 24, feel free to add me :D
  • Amazing! And very motivating. How long did it take you?
