Ooops! Looking for a way to ballpark calories burned for strength training and lifting. I know it depends on how strenuous, but an average for a 5'5female around 140 pounds?

I can't use the elliptical any more either as it hurts my kneews! Try the arc trainer by cybex! It is awesome! It is more of a cross country skiing motion. Less impact on knees and burns same calories if not more than elliptical! Spinning too is great! I find as I get older to mix it up from day to day to avoid over using…

thanks all! I think we can swing it, but my other half doesn't think so? He works from home and thinks besids not needing it, it disturbs him. I say maybe we can find someone on the weekends or do every 10 days, but not sure he will budge. Looks like once every 2 weeks will have to be for now, but still trying to get once…

30 minutes is plenty a day if you are watching your calorie intake. I try to mix things up, especially as I get older. One day I will walk 30 minutes, next spin 30 -45 spin, next yoga, next weights and walk etc. It all adds up. I just find I try to fit in bits of exercise when I can. Good luck!!!!!!!
