My husband and I have used our elliptical nearly every day for almost a year now. We added a stationary recumbent bike last summer, and those two machines are my husband's only workout. I add some weight training, and for the past week I've been doing the 30 Day Shred. We shopped around and bought a Schwinn because it…

I don't usually eat them back, simply because I'm not hungry, I have plenty of energy to work out, and I'm getting where I want to be. However, I do have them as a cushion when we eat out so I can enjoy myself without feeling guilty.

If weight loss comes up in conversation, which it frequently does because my husband and I have both lost 100+ lbs. Our daughter, son, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, niece, and a few friends are on here. My husband is worse about it than I am, because he's never been on any kind of weight loss program before. I on the…

This. I went from 270 at the end of last January to 182 in early September, and then plateaued there for 4 months. Don't get discouraged if you hit a long plateau. Just resolve to be more stubborn than your body fat, and enjoy your AWESOME results. Great job!

102 lbs. lost, 90 of it since January 18, 2013. Still have 20 more to lose to reach my goal.

Absolutely this! I've been overweight my whole life and once I got into my 20s, there was never a shortage of desirable guys who wanted to go out with me. Take care of you for you, and I promise that the older you get, the more appreciative men you will find.

I tell myself that I already feel like crap, I might has well feel like crap on the elliptical. Lol.

I was the same way. I never was a breakfast eater, partially because once I started eating I was hungry all day. I started making myself eat breakfast every morning last January when my husband and I decided to lose weight, BUT I'm still not a big breakfast eater. I eat a banana before I work out in the morning, and then…

We have three food scales in the kitchen (because my husband is kind of a geek). Lol.

Good for you! My husband and I did the same thing last January. I'm 52, and he is 57. He lost 100 lbs the first five months. It took me longer, but I did it! I still have 20+ to go to reach my goal weight, and he has been maintaining at his goal since June. It's so great to do it with your spouse/partner. We motivate each…

My husband dropped 100 lbs in just under 5 months. FIVE MONTHS! Men usually lose faster than women. I very lovingly encourage him and tell him he sucks. He's been maintaining since June, and I'm still struggling to lose that last 25 lbs.

Try switching over to maintenance mode for awhile. Don't focus on losing, just focus on not gaining. Also remember that a 1 hour workout is only 4% of your day. I take a break every once in awhile where I just take it easy and maintain for a few weeks, then my motivation comes back and I hit it again.

1. Current weight (optional) 182 2. Weight lost since last week 0 3. NSV for the week: I've been stuck on this plateau for 6 weeks now, and the other day I realized that I'm stressing about being stuck in the 180s, but i started in the 280s, and I was almost 270 just 10 months ago! Also, 2 people sent me friend requests…

We bought a $300 elliptical and added a stationary recumbent bike a few months later. My husband and I both use them every morning, at least 20 minutes on each, sometimes I do an extra 20 on the elliptical. We've each lost 100 lbs. I also lift weights a couple of times per week.

my husband hit his goal weight of 180 lbs. in June (down from 277 in January), and has been maintaining ever since. He weighs daily, and his weight fluctuates between 177 and 186, mostly depending on his salt intake. He's happy having that wide a range because it allows him to indulge now and then without feeling like he's…

We bought a Schwinn from Walmart last February (around $300) when we were both well over 250 lbs. It's starting to squeak a little, but my husband and I have put well over 1000 miles on it, I'm sure. Added a Schwinn recumbent stationary bike in July. Both work well and give us a good workout every morning. Hubbie dropped…
