Mine is great in keeping me active and giving a good idea of what my base activity level is. Also, it's easy to hide so you don't get a million questions a day about it. However, I'm thinking of moving to a BodyMedia unit to help increase accuracy. Not looking forward to the questions that the armband will cause.

I think there should be a special color for when your within 100 calories high or low around your goal. Espeically if you hit the magic number on the dot!! I though getting the number exactly is what they want!?!

Oh, but yes, it burns calories. The same way that living and breathing burns calories... lol.

I suspect that your hunger is due to a mixture of bordom and a desire for self-comfort. Stress has a tendency to affect our appetite but doesn't necessarily affect our calorie burn/weight. Well, actually it does but not usually to the extent that people THINK it does. For example, a person that is stressed and overeats…

Love! It tastes better if you mix it with milk instead of water. Just add 2% and it tastes like pb to me...

What's a bonus?!?

Me and the hubby just started. Both ex Army as well. I just finished my contract and he's retired ;).

Yes... and environmental choices available also comes into affect. Did you all know that dophins that are in captivity where they are only explosed to other dophins of the same sex will still choose to "get it on". I somehow doubt that they happened to capture ONLY the homosexual dophins in the world. Sex is pleasurable.…

This^^ I had a psyc professor who was a MD/PhD espouse the philosophy that sexuality is NOT a bimodal event (gay or straight) but a single bell curve with gay and straight anchors. The reason that more people aren't bisexual or bicurious relates to culture and upbringing creating an artifical bimodal event.

I pick up dog poop when she goes in people's yards. I generally discourage her from going on people lawns though just because some times you can't get all of it... enough said there. Never put much of a thought to her peeing in people lawns when we go for a walk. Can't really pick up pee... lol... and no one's every yelled…

This. I don't recommend working out 3 hrs before bed IF you have sleep issues. Now, if you don't, all bets are off. A intense workout can make you tired but cause more fitful sleep if your a person sensitive to adrenaline.

Thanks for the input everyone! I think I'm gong to buy him the crovel and nax instead since he has half the gear in the kit. :)
-
Do it!! I would totally buy it without thinking so hard if we didn't have a few items in the kit already and I haven't already bought or plan to buy a whole bunch of other things for him... lol!

I agree journeyman. We are actually planning to go to the DEC gunshow to pick up some guns and ammo. A handgun and ammo was already on his gift list. And maybe one for me as well if the prices are good. But he already knows about that gift... lol. I've also aready gotten him a nice machette a couple of knives for father's…

I saw the inventor of the crovel on Doomsday Preppers. Very nifty! I actually considered getting it but at the time it was on backorder and I thought it was a little pricy at $110. But it IS cheaper then the Gerber Kit and maybe more versitle. I'll have to go check out the website again! My man already has an Xbox ;). He's…

Whoops, that should say Kit not Guide.

Almost fell out of her chair laughing.... Alas, funny because it's SO true...

Good one! Very jeolous of several people on the food and travel channels!

*wipping at her drool* What was the question again?? Oh wait! I love my job so I would keep doing it. But maybe make it part time and spend the other half of the day as an artist/stay at home mommy...

I agree. People are actually making a huge issue of the fact that schools SHOULD be taking responsiblity for weight/nutirition because the rest of us (using the big us of course) are too lazy/busy/whatever to parent our own children. I for one, don't agree, and think parent's need to take more responsilbity for their…

Hum... sounds like both devices are a great investment. 47by47, I'm not so much worried about who "gave her" the gift more that it's something that she will play with, learn from, and enjoy. At 2.5, I don't think she really grasps the gift concept beyond "mine", "share", and "no"... lol! However, I can see it potentially…

Run Roby Run!! ;) Best of luck!

Oh, oh! Sounds like a good idea! Kindle anyone??

Lol! Stuck at work as well. Most of the office took leave today though...

I'm eyeing the Kindle Fire HD 4G if we go that route. Anyone with any experience with it? Not too worried about parental controls at this point... lol. Though structure sounds like an absolute MUST! Only sit and plan nice with the new toy! Worse case senerio, if she's having a hard time operating it. I could always switch…

My little one will be 2.5. Right around the right age for the LeapPad. Sounds like both options are great for kids apps. Would HAVE to get a heavy duty case for the kindle fire... maybe something like the Gumdrop. The plus side of the kindle fire is the video/movies which will come in handy for plane rides (we have a…

Thx Poodle! I have a regular kindle and love it. But I also have an IPad as well. Though they have IPad kid cases, I'm not too keen on the idea of giving my daughter my IPad to play with... lol. Also, unfortuately, the IPad will not play the Kindle videos :P. Part of the reason I was thinking about the Kindle Fire.…
