  • x2, this is the one I use as being the only example I know where the movie was better than the book.
  • I saw Costco had BodyMedia Fit's for $99.00 yesterday also.
  • Actually the BodyMedia and the BodyBugg are the same thing with different branding. If you've been looking at a bodybugg, then bodymedia fit is the same thing. I've been wearing a Bodymedia Fit since February. It's a great device. I don't have any personal experience with a Fitbit, but to me, the BMF seems like it would be…
  • Basically the same as what everyone is saying. My BMF will show that I burn about 3300 calories on a day where I don't do anything (i.e. a lazy Sunday) and about 3800-4000 calories on a day when I workout. I set MFP to 2375 calories, which is above my calculated BMR, and just shoot for 2375 calories regardless of if I'm…
  • Weird, never saw this this thread before, and this morning while getting dressed I thought of a haiku. Not much of a poet, but then I come here, and it's clear I was supposed to share... :) A cherry blossom stuck to the sole of my boot sticks to my soul, too
  • The DeLite Chicken Bacon Artichoke is the lowest cal one they have, and it's delicious. 217 calories for 1/12 of a Family Size! That's frequently our Friday night splurge and I usually save enough calories for half a pizza...
  • I would consider starting with P90 before going to P90X. I've been doing P90 for two weeks now, and think it's much more appropriate for someone 'just getting started'... There's a thread around here somewhere (probably several) of a guy that did P90 and then P90X. He has before and after pics, check those out for some…
  • why bother wearing the bodybugg if you're not going to trust what it says? One is a website estimate based on 'standard' calculations, the other is a device you are wearing that actually measures your activity throughout the day... I've been wearing a bodymedia fit (same thing, different name) for 4 months now. My weight…
  • Hey baby, looking for a stud? I've got the STD, all I need is U... ;)
  • Very cool. I'm on day 5 of P90. Hope for even a small portion of the improvement you've seen. Can I ask, how 'good' were you at P90 to start? I've found I suck at some of the 'power yoga' stuff, push-ups, and my 'ab-ripper 100' ends up being more of an 'ab-ripper 63-ish'. Just curious - if you started off that weak too,…
  • Sorry, not much help as far as suggestions for you personally, but my weight loss has tracked almost perfectly with the numbers I'm getting on my Bodymedia Fit. Are you sure you're tracking your intake calories accurately? Only other suggestion might be to go to a doctor and get your thyroid function checked. My wife was…
  • The projections definitely get more accurate over time, I think it learns to average what your usual burn rate is during any given time frame and just uses that. I find that my 'estimated' calories for the day usually end up +/- 50 calories or so from what it ends up measuring.
  • X2 We get the vanilla and throw in a spoonful of cinnamon.
  • LOL. My wife is literally at the store right now buying new shoes to replace hers. She started a new running/walking program this week and made the mistake of wearing 'shape-ups'. Shin splints so bad, she hasn't been able to work out the rest of the week...
  • Homemade jerky and/or pork tenderloins marinated and roasted and served like Chinese "BBQ" Pork...
  • I've been wearing mine for a little over a month now. On a non-workout day I usually burn about 3200, and on a work out day it can be between 3800-4100. I've been getting frustrated because I'm usually about 1000-1500 calories under, with the occasional 'blow-up' day here and there, but the scale hasn't really been moving.…
  • Hi, I'm not an expert, but I have been wearing a Body Media Fit Core for about 12 days now. 1. I log all of my food on MFP. Then I take my final count and go the BMF site and enter a "Daily Estimate", where it just takes your word for the calories for the day. Then it shows your burn from the armband, the calories consumed…
  • If you just started wearing it this morning, it estimates all of the time that you weren't wearing it yet. I found that on day 1 it estimated it really high. As time goes on, this estimate gets more accurate. I think my day 1 also showed a very large count to begin with. Personally I haven't noticed any weird readings from…
  • Same thing happened to me this week. Monday morning I weighed myself and was up 5 lbs. This after 2 weeks of dropping about .5 lb/day. I've been at about 1500 calorie deficit the whole time, and then BAM up 5 lbs overnight. It stayed on all week, too. I started freaking out, getting discouraged, and it started coming down…
