I have a piece of fruit before my AM workouts, just so I have a bit of sugar in me. I think it helps give me energy instead of running on nothing and my stomach grumbling half way through :-)

You're absolutely right. See I won't even eat normal (or wholemeal) bread, cereal or pasta anymore because of the calories. But I still get enough carbs throughout the day.
