Log your food and your drinks! You might be surprised by what you learn. But you have to track everything, and pay attention to portions. Are you eating enough protein, that keeps me fullest. Keep at it, your body wants to stay at your heavy weight so keep fighting. I lost my first 40 pretty quick, the rest is at a snails…

Try everything!!! I take whatever class is offered at the local rec center. I became friends with the others in the class, so now it's like social hours. Some of my gym buddies only do Zumba classes, some kickboxing, others will do two back to back KettleBell and Kickboxing. Point it, just keep trying different things till…

Great Job!!! My journey has taken me almost two years, 10 more pounds to go!! You look great keep up the good work.

15 more lbs to go, I'm afraid of maintenance.

I would rest a day, maybe walk and treat yourself to a nice long stretch afterwards, to help with your sore muscles. My favorite is a hot bath after, a little luxury after the hard work. Then get back at it. You are using those muscles in a new way, it's gonna hurt a little.

And if there is dancing, by all means Dance.

One day won't kill you. I would however suggest you avoid the scale for a few days after and drink extra water to flush your system. For me the scale is crazy cruel after a few cocktails, so it's better to avoid it for a day or two and be extra careful not to skip workouts and watch the food immediately following. I'll be…

Since it's best for me to eat first thing in the morning I have a shake becauseI find its easy. I do a lot of strength training exercises and keeping the meals high in protein keeps me from being hungry. With that being said, it is best to get your protein from natural sources, eggs, chicken or fish. I like sweet in the AM…

I feel that way sometimes, try and switch it up. Give yourself a fitness goal to reach along with your weight loss. This way you can have something different to focus on while working your diet. Just a thought, I've become a gym nut. I cranked out some really great full on push ups in kettlebell class last night I was…

Love your before and After!!! Keep up the great work!

1250 This is my first full week back in a few months. 15 lbs to go, and I'll be at my goal!!

I take KettleBell classes. The amazing women who teaches in my neighborhood is great, she is a Spartan ProElite Racer #1 in the world ( sorry I bragged but she is amazing and motivates me). I've built up the weights I use, shaped my body and I have managed to stick with it for over a year. I switch it up with running,…

My gym buddies seem to notice when ever I think the scale is stuck, then in the next day or so the scale moves. But people started noticing around the 20 lb mark, now they notice when I drop another size and start wearing new clothes.

Thank you so much for sharing your pictures and posting this topic. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how to lose more weight. I've lost 30 lbs in the last year, 43 if you go back another 6 months. Yes this has been al slow journey, but I'm trying to do it right and change my life. I've been very frustrated…

Two hours a night with 3 young ones is a bit much. Can you split it, do Cardio in AM, you can run or walk in your neighborhood to cut down the PM time. Family time is precious, and fitness is important. So you need to find a way to make it work for your whole family. Be flexible with how your are working out and when, this…

I would suggest a small snack, a 100 calorie bar of some sort about an hour before class or a small banana. Something with some carbs for you to burn so you can master your work out. I have the same issue, you just need to find the food and amount of calories that will work best for you but I do try to stick to something…

Love your before and after pics!! Keep up the great work, you look amazing!

Everyone should do Cardio, if for nothing else than for overall fitness.

Exercise has become a bit of a hobby for me. Maybe you can try taking some classes, I don't like, running, or cardio machines, or really in lifting. But I do those on occasion when I can't get to a class. I am a social creature, so I like taking classes. Do you dance, try Zumba, or try kick boxing, or step or cardio…

Thanks DanaDark, have to figure out how to change my goals manually.

I'm working the south beach diet, as I don't' seem to burn carbs very well. So my protein is always high, I'd say if that's all your over I would consider the day a win.

I am in the same boat, except I started serious weight loss two months ago ( trying for a year, but just really focusing on diet for last 3 months ) . I've lost 150 mostly the same 60 lbs twice, this is my third and last go round. And I know it is as I've been losing weight very slowly this time, and I've changed my life…

I have been doing kettle bell at my gym for some time....sore muscle warning. No matter how you have been working out you will feel the kettle bell workout in the morning. Jillian Michael's and The firm both have one I've used before venturing to the class. I was still sore after the class, but it's an amazing…

I do sometimes, I like the total lean from GNC, they work with the lower carb South Beach diet that I am working.
-
Try South Beach, it's easier to live with. And you get to eat more carbs in the first two weeks. Has anyone on here ever gone from Atkins to a more moderate carb diet including potatoes, whole wheat breads, brown rice, etc? Did you see big gains? I dont think I want to do super low carb (20 or less) all the time but would…

I am having the same issue, keep at it and don't give up! Slowly the lbs go.

I've been doing the south beach diet, and I work out frequently. Trying to be healthier and stronger. Working out has become my hobby so I try anything and everything my gym offers. Yoga, Zumba, kettle bell, tabata, turbo kick, I'll hit the tread mill if I can't make a class. I've seen the best weight loss since I added…
